It's Varg's second album as Burzum and it's probably one of the best black metal albums of all time.

Technically speaking FLAC isn't uncompressed. FLAC is actually a pretty effective compression codec.

However, FLAC is lossless.

This is one of the reasons people will argue WAV files sound better than FLAC, since WAV is both uncompressed and lossless.

What does "lossless" mean?

That the file hasn't lost any of it's original quality.

If you look at the waveform of a FLAC file it will be identical to the wave form of a CD.

That's not the case with an MP3 or AAC file, since they cut out certain sound frequencies to achieve a smaller file size.

Does lossless make a noticeable difference?

If so is the difference only noticeable if you have audiophile quality speakers?

Some people notice it, others don't. I can notice a small difference with some songs with my headphones, but the majority of the time I hardly know.

Not knowing if I'd experience a difference in audio quality or at least with my current speakers or headphones makes it hard for me to be sure that lossless audio files would be worth the extra storage space needed.

Just the speakers in my ASUS VG248QE monitor for my main desktop, a cheapie set of Logitech Z200 speakers for my secondary desktop because the monitor I use for it doesn't have built in speakers, and these for headphones:

Nothing special I know but they work well enough.

Cherry MX Silents, which appear to be a variant of MX reds developed in partnership with Corsair.

This is my first mech keyboard so don't know how they compare, but it feels so much better than my old keyboard with it's burning normal keys haha!

I was thinking about getting a keyboard with Cherry MX Brown in it.  That seemed like the best compromise between clicky noise, tactile sensation, and actuation force.

I'll have to try learning a bit about these Silent switches to see how they compare.

I just have some crap keyboard and mouse that came with my main desktop.  It was originally a prebuilt before I upgraded it.  I like the layout of the keyboard and extra keys for volume and other things I haven't used.  The mouse actually is fairly comfortable to use but it definitely feels cheap.

I defintely want a nicer keyboard and mouse.  ?

I honestly see no reason to get FLACs over 320Kbps MP3's. 2x (or more) space for barely better audio doesn't justify it for me personally.

Yeah, I just get music from the iTunes music store or when I get CDs anymore I have iTunes set to thr highest bitrate on AAC.

I have no idea what a bitrate is but I assume higher is better.  ?

To my knowledge it doesn't make any difference, but try it out for yoursefl: http://www.npr.org/sections/therecord/2015/06/02/411473508/how-well-can-you-hear-audio-quality

If you to have an "audiophile experience" you would track down well mastered tracks instead of lossless tracks.

An i7-4770 for $144, I forgot to take a picture of it and now I'm too lazy to take apart the cooler and re-apply the compound.
