Used for?

Right, my bad; I use it mostly for gaming/ minor rendering. So far no complaints and max temp has been 72c with the Phanteks PH-TC14PE. This temp was obtained during an Intel Burn Test in October. I usually idle at 32c-35c and 58c-65c stressed.

It's higher for the winter I assume? lol

Yeah I ran it at 1.22v 4.5 in winter. In summer it renders in the mid 70's with that voltage. Only have a evo 212 on it in push/pull. Bit too hot for me. 1.15 and it renders at around 68/69. Can't complain, it is a good clocker and I could put water cooling and push 4.6 4.7 pretty easily.

CPU:24/7-4770k @ 4.5ghz/4.0 cache @ 1.22V override, 1.776 VCCIN. MB: Z87-G41 PC Mate. Cooling: Hyper 212 evo push/pull. Ram: Gskill Ares 1600 CL9 @ 2133 1.56v 10-12-10-31-T1 150 TRFC. I've got a 4770k @ 4.8ghz. Use it for all of your suggested uses along with some stuff for work.

How the F*** did you get a 4770k past 4.5Ghz!? You must have gotten a golden chip, you did you delid and replace the heat transfer stuff?

My 2 desktops have i3-550s, they're my main machines and are used for gaming and Microsoft Flight Simulator (I don't consider that a game).

My laptop has an AMD A8-4500M, this one is mostly used for VMs.

And my netbook has an Intel Atom N570 and it's used for web browsing.

i'm using an 8350 @4.6 with 1.368v. i got it last summer figuring/hoping more and more games will start to optimize for multi-core processors and because it was cheaper than an i5-4670k. plus if i'd wanted to upgrade to a 4670k i'd have had to change my mobo too. and i figure i should be able to keep this one for several years before i'd need an upgrade again. upgraded from a Phenom II x4 965 Black Edition.

pretty much only used for gaming. i just rendered and posted my first youtube video last night so we'll see how much of that i do or not in the future LoL.

Windows 10 | AMD FX-8350 @4.6GHz | BeQuiet! Dark Rock Pro 3 | ASUS M5A99X EVO R2.0 | 16Gb G.Skill DDR3 1866 | MSI Nvidia GeForce GTX 980 4Gb | Samsung 840 EVO 250Gb | Corsair HX750 | NZXT Source 530 case | Logitech G710+ keyboard | Logitech G500s mouse | Saitek X52 Joystick and Throttle | Saitek ProFlight Rudder Pedals | TrackIR

AMD FX 6300 @ 4.5GHz in my rig, during the winter I can bump it to 4.7GHz :)

It`s mostly used for gaming and some video encoding.

In the HTPC a Sempron 140 unlocked to an X2 @ 3GHz

This one is self explanatory, it`s used to watch movies on the TV ;)

but I am planing to change the case and switch the HTPC to a HTPC/File Server
