780, gaming

Someone told Luke and Linus at CES 2017 to "Unban the legend known as Jerakl" and that's about all I've got going for me. (It didn't work)

Playing peggle on 780SLI is a waste of money ~ that said ~ I hardly ever get 20 minutes of gaming time in a day through multiple sessions.

I've been trying to get a hold of vegas forever. Did you buy yours? It's kinda expensive last time I checked.

I can't wait for the GTX 880 though it is likely to be above what I can afford for a while, I'm waiting for the GTX 860 or 870. Still should be nice though

If the 860 does better than a 770 and the 870 does better than a 780 then damn 800 series will be insane.

THATS.WHAT.YOU.GET. Well...at least you didn't buy a Titan Z...it's two Titan Blacks for 3,000 dollars (which is overpriced as hell).

...wait...used to? What card/cards did you have before?

I was gaming at 1440p and had 780ti's. Then I got a UP2414Q (4k IPS) and I needed more Vram. I got myself two Titan Blacks and sold the 780ti's.  Then a month ago that one had 34 pixels die randomly and I returned it. I stole one of girlfriends PA279Q. :P And now I'm back to 1440p. http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/175606-my-thoughts-on-going-from-1440p-to-4k-and-back-to-1440p/#entry2345255

Indeed ~ most of my rendering machines are headless. My personal workstation has K6000 and Tesla K40.

270X is mostly for my little brother to run his racing sims at 1080P.

No I cracked mine...

Since were not allowed to talk about that topic...You can buy Vegas Pro at a pretty good price on the LTT store, for only $100 (key)

I might buy it in the future if nobody else does, since vegas is a pretty great program, and I would trust linus to not scam me with a fake key xD

Kinda but I'll not. If you want to know why read the wall of text in this topic http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/175606-my-thoughts-on-going-from-1440p-to-4k-and-back-to-1440p/#entry2345255

Ah. I see. Twas a good read...though I never really saw the point in gaming past 1440p. ^_^; Most people can't really tell the difference between 1440p and 4k (at least I can't). Let alone barely being able to tell the difference from 1080p to 1440p.

What do you mean?

The hardware, but then again it's not that old

The most common result of insufficient wattage is a paperweight that looks like a PC
