Recomoneded Hardware for bitcoin mining?

bitcoin isn't worth it anymore. You won't be getting much out of it.

Just way higher electricity bills.

Unless you buy an ASIC miner, you will lose money from buying the rig and power cost.

Coin mining isn't worth it anymore unless you already own hardware to do it, or can get cheap ASIC miners that can do 1 tera hash per second or more.

@Awesome274 Mining rigs are useless at this point. You need a ton of ASICs to make a profit from mining Bitcoins but that takes a long time.

Those who mined in the early days, are, today, really lucky!

To love is to risk not being loved in return. To hope is to risk pain. To try is to risk failure, but risk must be taken because the greatest hazard in life is to risk nothing.

Im looking at getting a Core i7-4790K CPU and 2 R9 290 Windforce cards for my new system, would this be okay for mining bitcoin at a reasonable speed?

Bitcoin mining no, but it would work fine to mine coins using X11, X13, X14, X15, Scrypt-N, Keccak,, Groestl, Blake-256, and more. Not that anybody here would have ever heard of those.

At this age, mining with your PC is theoretically useless and not worth getting a new right, dedicated mining asics are way cheaper and faster.

But bitcoin is now not worth anything now days anyways. I lost so much bitcoin in the close of MtGox, and I got some refund on Virwox. but no one should have not invested on mBtc anyways... I was stupid :D
