What car would be the best in a zombie apocalypse?

Izaya Orihara

So I'm good to go? :P I would also try to mod the car inorder to be able to refill the car from inside.

I think it's a good bet. However! Take into consideration repair-ability. How easy are parts to find for the vehicle? Would it be easy and viable to strip down the vehicle in case of long-term running from say, people out to kill you?

I personally would take the first van that I found two of, wouldn't go into what I specifically "want", but what is dispensable and indispensable at the same time; That is, something incredibly useful that I can replace and/or discard with as much ease as possible.

I really wish that we'd just make organic hardware already, that grows and adapts to the demands it needs to meet. That way, grannies' computers can be floppy sacks of organicness and the 12 year old Minecrafters will look like the guys that only do bicep curls, and the nerdy programmers will finally have justice, with their body-builder rigs that skipped leg day.

Best of both worlds?

Earthroamer-xv-lts-SC.png

Yes, actually. A lot of these have windows that can look in through the back window of the truck. Pop it out, maybe saw off a bit more to get easier access between the two cabins (truck and living), put a rubber flap between like a doggy-door, and you're all good.

I was personally going to suggest an M1 Abrams MBT but hey, this would do the job too :P

I thought about that as a real option, but since it uses a turbine engine it needs jetfuel, I figure that is probably going to be hard to come by when there are zombies wandering around. The M-2 Bradley however, uses a good ol' Detroit Diesel.

Armour it up with some reinforced titanuim, add shooting hatches, make the inside like a house with water, storage and gas, keep diesel in the back, make it more fuel ecomic, and add window shutters :)

edit: and add a way to get in the back, im driving guys :)

My Setup :P

Paramount Group - Marauder* It's not made by hummer (car guy nitpicking)

I'd either choose the Toyota Hi-Lux pick up truck or a Nissan Navara King cab (D21 model) Since you can mend it with a brick

Or a volvo FL6 lorry with a diesel tank welded to the bed and a smaller house built on the rest of the bed.

My dad has a Hilux pickup as a work car(municipal work) and it plows through anything. Even 1m high snow as i tried last year on a small gravel road.

Volkswagen xl1. Can't guarantee you can lie down and sleep in it, but it does have 300 mpg, 2 seats and it's carbon fibre.

Or you could use a vauxhall/Opel ampera for more space and a range extender

They are good^^

My family mostly had nissan king cabs though. we've had 8 so far (rust on the frame just kills them after a while)

But they are fairly similar in the way that if you put them in 1st gear low they'll go through whatever they're pointed at xD

They are shifting all the pickup to Nissan Navaras but the shift is slow because the municipality has no dollaz

Jeep '98 Grand Cherokee that car WAS voted the car that's most likely to survive a zombie apocalypse. (I think it's the 1998 one but we own whichever one did get voted)

Either a smaller Truck or a jeep wrangler with a diesel engine. I suspect it would much easier to get diesel in a station rather than regular gasoline in a first outbreak type of situation

I would get a tanker truck full of diesel fuel, and slap tank heaters on it. Drive as far north as I can during winter into the Arctic Circle with a bunch of survival gear and set up camp and hunt, Zombies are dead, so they would freeze solid up there and a frozen solid zombie can't move at least that is my theory.
