I can't tell if my PPD is supposed to flucuate this much, or if it's around where it's expected to be with my hardware. Currently folding on a 7950X & 7900XTX (Windows 11, Full Power while I'm working, Cancer (though it seems I get a lot of non-cancer WUs, not surprising given the amount of people vs the amount of available WUs, or so I've read)). I was folding on my framework (1165G7), but my cat unplugged the charger yesterday and the RTC/CMOS battery no longer holds charge so it's out until I get a replacement.

 

It seems to be within their (EOC's) point confidence, but I don't know if that's based on my hardware or prior performance (my bet's on the latter).

Your PPD will fluctuate a good amount since it is only calculating based on the current working WUs (processing and fiished that have not cleaned up). Some WUs do not offer as many points as others (complexity and other fun stuff). Throughout the day, on 1 GPU, I fluctuate about 0.8MPPD depending on what I am doing on it, and what WUs I am assigned.

 

It is luck of the draw for what you are assigned sometimes, but we do it for science

this brings up a good point as i see you changed your forum name, if you change your forum name during the event PLEASE Notify us...this is critical as if your name doesnt match what we have on record as when you registered it can cause issues at the end of the even.

Shoot im sorry I didn't even think about it I was so focused on the Folding name not changing. I did change it as I've been more active on the forum since folding and decided to not use my old ID as it's a little more information than I wanted to give out. Please let me know if there is anything I need to do.

i woke up with half of my networked pc. saying no internet..

 7 wu finished (3 pcs) cant send.

then the  pc with 2 rx radoen cards.  folding for what ever reason wont work correctly. boinc pc now.

it had over 100 wu finished.

stupid comcast modem...

I remember those days of arguing with @TVwazhere then I decided to get 2060ko then later 2x3070s and now those days are gone  I would have gotten a 4070 but evga abandoned me and not sure who to trust in the USA and I also don’t want to go in debt to buy a card currently screw you nvidia.

Trying to figure out how to enable a disabled GPU.  Are laptops integrated GPU's not supported even a little bit?
