Hopefully, my round of messages to everyone who signed up but has not yet started folding helps. Already had 4 people respond that they forgot and will now start folding... let's hope it keeps going that way

tempted to  spin up a rx 460,550, 1060 cards...

both qaurd core and 5 core fx test bench cpus.. not worth it to run .

Never been dropped but it is a dell OEM card that was run 24/7 and is in a sorry state 

 

I did drop myself... down the stairs... last night though if that counts

i will say i do miss the mining mobo that died on me with the  hurricane.

cards are good. but idk if mobo ,cpu.ram is good.

which sadden me.

but i am the only ltt forum user for that to happen during a event.

Okay guys, I pulled the trigger and bought 4090 ASUS TUF. I gotta admit, I am ashamed and happy at the same time.

I have to say that I am not really up to date with 4090 power connector/adapter shenanigans, can anyone tell me if there were different versions of 12VHPWR cable or are they all the same coming from the manufacturer?

4090 is a bad buy if only for folding btw, most WUs can't utilise it properly so you often don't get all the PPD you should/can get from it. But when you get a golden WU nothing beats it obviously

Still a bad buy when you consider the ppd/W ? even taking the price of puchase, the effeciency should make up for it quite quickly i think. I have not done the math though.

4070ti is the sweet spot when tuned correctly afaik.

 

@Gorgon would know better than me though, he's the man who does all the testing.
