Yeah, it looks fine but neither the case nor the overall setup is super pretty in my eyes. It does seem like it's fairly practical but pretty not so much.

I will say I like that Sarah talked a bit about some of the purchases that might be not given a camera focus in other Intel Extreme Tech Upgrades. Though, I will say I don't know what would be an example of a  gaming setup I'd call pretty.

It would have been really cool if Sarah painted something onto the case with the art supplies she got. Something different than as you said bolted together black/white rgb build. I get why they didn't do it but also it would have been pretty cool.

kinda annoys me that she got a $350 motherboard instead of an msrp 3070 or 3060 ti. I like it's pretty but bruh she could've had a lot more performance if she didn't do that and since ocing doesn't matter anymore for actually performance gains.

 

Did she ever say what she was upgrading from or was it the 2015 macbook pro? I looked it up and dedicated graphics on that thing are an r7 m370 2gb, which I guess a 3060 would be a hell of an upgrade over.

There is a desktop system visible in a Fractal Meshify case, and she transferred the PSU from it, so the old Macbook was not her only computer. 

Corps aren't your friends. "Bottleneck calculators" are BS. Only suckers buy based on brand. It's your PC, do what makes you happy.  If your build meets your needs, you don't need anyone else to "rate" it for you. And talking about being part of a "master race" is cringe. Watch this space for further truths people need to hear.

Hi, this was called the GPU Wasteland Desk Pad and they only did 1 limited time run of it due to it being so easy to get dirty. They've been sold out for a while, so ironically the only way to get one now is if you can find it second hand.

I thought it would be good to mention to Sarah that those diffuser thingys could be bad for cats. I'm not super versed on the topic so research it a bit but I think certain types of oils, especially eucalyptus, can really mess them up. Someone with social media skills should let Sarah know!

My thoughts exactly. The Asus Prime Z690 D4 for $215 or the Asrock Z690 Steel Legend for $220 would be better value while offering silver/white accents. But she is evidently happy with her setup, so what can I say?

The all-white theme has been popular in the past few years, especially in glass aquarium cases like the H510 or 011 Dynamic and its variants. A cursory look on forums frequented by younger PC builders (like PCPartPicker or some subreddits) will yield many results. It looks sterile perhaps, but in my view it is undeniably an improvement over builds from a decade ago with no colour coordination whatsoever (or really tacky and bright colours). That said, I am loathe to pay extra for aesthetics too.
