Just watched the last episode of Rewrite.

I must say, the anime is quite enjoyable, if you've read the visual novel.

 

 

Otherwise, that ending(heck the anime as a whole) probably made no sense to someone who hasn't.

I can't remember, but did they ever even mention "Pero" in the anime? Other than that last bit with Kotori and Chibimoth.

 

Here's hoping they do a second season with Moon + Terra routes, as that would actually "complete" the story and explain many things. (Like why Esaka seemed to talk as if he knew something about Koutarou that he himself didn't?)

the first season was entertaining but not really much more than that.

I powered through Love Live over the week. Now that I've done that, I must compare it to its rival, The iDOLM@STER.

 

Content wise I like iM@S better than Love Live. A lot of it has to do with that iM@S feels more believable and it's more down to earth with the little details of how the entertainment industry would be (but I wouldn't know since I haven't worked for it in any shape or form except as an AV tech in college). Love Live has a little of too many things that just seem convenient to happen. It didn't detract from my enjoyment of the series, but well... It's the only thing I can rag on. For example:

In the Love Live movie, the girls some how manage to organize a huge event in Akiba in under a month on that short of a notice. I don't think AKB48 could do that.

Music wise though, I like Love Live's songs a whole lot more than iM@S's. iM@S is hit and miss with me, often times more miss. I want to say part of that is iM@S's songs are geared more towards the individual girls to sing rather than being group songs. So if you don't care for a particular iM@S character, then their songs won't really seem as good. Plus some of the songs really either need the character who it was meant for, or it needs to be in a group. For instance Kiramekirari is perfect with Yayoi singing it but it's terrible when Chihaya sings it. However, it's also a really good group song.

i'm a bit excited for it. as far as i know where the show left off, it'll get more and more interesting (read the manga, but i haven't kept up lately). plus OPM is a great gateway anime

Meh. There are far better gateway anime, and far better superhero parody anime. About all it has going for it as of season one is the animation quality, and there are no shortage of well-animated anime, either. But I do hope it will get better, because I'd hate to think that it's only novel in manga form for trying to look like a set of key frames for an anime.

I liked Love live better because I think it's more slice of life with less drama than Cinderella. Reality is too cruel for me.
