U guys think its okay to say an anime is bad because it's a bad adaptation of the original source being ethier LN or Manga? Specially if people that don't know anything about the original are going to read said opinion?

Compression ratio is the alpha and omega.

No adaptation will be 100% faithful, but will have to be compressed.

Fate/Stay Night for example is a 50~ish hour VN. (as read out loud) It has 49 episodes and a movie, which equates to roughly 20 hours of total adaptation without overlap. That means the compression is 2,5 VN hours equals 1 adapted hour. This is in the ball park of what is typically considered a good compression ratio.

Grisaia no Kajitsu is a 75 hour VN. It has 13 episodes, which equates to roughly 4,75 hours of adaptation. That means the compression ratio is nearly 16:1!! 16 hours of VN per 1 hour of anime!

Considering both of the aforementioned VNs are ranked in the top 10 translated visual novels of all time, it's pretty shocking how badly the latter was treated.

This can somewhat (if in a fiddly way) be attributed to manga as well, though when it comes to light novels and novels, the way it's brought to life is roughly as important - since most readers have imagined it differently in their heads.

Me too, and i hate it. I loved Shuffle! and i didn't even know it was based on a LN, but i loved it because it was a harem that in the end MC ended up with one of the girls. Not like many others that end up with no romantic relationship even though romance is a very big factor.

Shuffle! is a visual novel, not a light novel - but I agree.

In case the moderators do not ban me as requested, this is a notice that I have left and am not coming back.

Every time I decide to give USPS International another chance they end up screwing me over again. I've been at home all day and I went to check my mailbox and they just left a note saying that they will try to deliver my package the next business day... Nobody even knocked at my door... And I can't pick it up from post office until the next day....

The same USPS truck just past by rightnow and I told him about the paper and he had my package. Apparently Before they start their route they deliver "Priority Mail" first then do regular mail. He said he knocked and nobody answered. Maybe It was when I went to my garage for a bit but I got my package now that's all that matters. B)

Uhhh. I've had my own shipping woes today as well. Its Newegg's fault. They won't ship to an address unless its the confirmed billing address for your method of payment. I paid for expedited shipping which they send via puralator (canada's fed ex basically). Puralator can't deliver to a Post Office box which happens to be my billing address. So instead I have to call puralators customer support so I can get the package delivered to my local puralator location. They said it might not get there until Tuesday because its a long weekend in Canada. It would have been in today if Newegg wasn't so tight about your shipping address. I guess I can cross my fingers and hope it gets in tomorrow otherwise I will be waiting another 4 days.

Did you even hear their truck pass by your house? That's some BS.

I prefer to use DHL for international shipments. But sadly all the figures I just ordered from AmiAmi uses EMS which is USPS... Lets see how that goes.

I hope you get your package ASAP. If you're anything like me I want my package NOW not having to wait weeks for it. Especially when stuff sits in customs for a bunch of days and doesn't update.

I would be happy if international packages would be sitting in customs for a bunch of days here. They sit in customs for more than 2 weeks here usually.

Thats why I payed extra for the fastest shipping option. I wanted it before the long weekend. If I don't receive it before then I wasted the extra money on expedited only to have the package arrive in the same amount of time it would have taken with the normal shipping option.

ya that annoys me. I paid for 2 day from one place and then they didn't even try to ship it for 3 days and when they did it was on friday so I still didn't get it for 3 more days that annoyed the hell out of me.

Its only because newegg is so tight on their shipping addresses. Last time I ordered from them prior to this I tried to use my actual address only to have them cancel the order 3 days later because it didn't match the billing address. By that point the item was out of stock so I couldn't replace the order with the proper address. Now I actually use the proper address only to have them send the order using a service that doesn't send to post office boxes.
