Watch Dogs PC "ultra" specifications revealed

Snickerzz

“We expect a lot of different specs to run the game at a high,” he said. “But here are the ultra specs for the few who have them and ask for it. Ultra specs: Intel Core i7-4770K with a GeForce 780.”

Morin also said that the recently released PC trailer that was showing the game at its best was recorded on an Intel Core i7-3930K with a GeForce Titan.

The “ultra” specifications are of course higher than the recommended system requirements, but also even higher than the “ultra” specifications that leaked last year.

Damnnnn a 4770k? I really need to upgrade :C but atleast game devs are actually taking the full advantage of the the horse power pcs have :)

That's insane. The game doesn't even look that good.

I call bs unless they release it very unoptimized or they're playing with some crazy AA on 1080p + resolution

^^ Probably this. I doubt they spent the extra time and money to make the PC version that much better over the console version. Probably just ported over the game and increased the max AA and resolution.

Thanks for the read. I am now that much more excited.

The PC was the primary platform for Watch Dogs so it's actually not a port.

That's quite demanding, but I'm not entirely convinced. Let's wait for some benchmarks.

Or you turn down a few settings, that aren't even noticable and it works fine with a 770.

What, so they give it AA up to something like 32x and say "look, to run the game at max you need a GTX 780 or R9-290!"?

Really?

Something tells me this must be exaggerated to a certain extent.

TBH the game never looked that good recently to me, and feel the graphics will be more generic than most will think now.

I watched the tech video inside also, and i was not that impressed.

I felt impressed when i first saw the game; how ever long ago that was, but never felt that again because i feel it's damn near a last gen looking game, like all current gen.

No more AMD Vs. Intel anymore... A year ago it was 3570k vs 8150.... I bet AMD is going to release $300 12 cores CPU to compete 4770k...
