Nvidia  has no issues with 100C+ cards, they'll just throttle the hell out of it and let the customers "deal with it", its called "GPU boost" ironically 

Wtf are you talking about. GPU boost works with the thermal and power headroom you have. If your card is overheating to begin with than you have much bigger problems to deal with than some algorythm that makes your GPU faster.

No, that's exactly how gpu "boost" works, the closer you get to the thermal limit the more it will downclock,  so let's say at around ~85C the card suddenly won't "boost" to 1950mhz, but instead 1815 or something... 90C 1750... and so on, thats how the card prevents actually overheating while still somewhat working,  most people won't even notice, unless they have a close eye on temps/frequencies.

This never changed on principle,  only has been adjusted for different cards... newer cards start downclocking much earlier...around ~55C (only slightly but still) its not really a "boost" at all, unless you have ln2 on hand. : D

GPU Boost is not throttling anything. My 3080 for example has a boost frequency of 1710MHz, but realistically runs anywhere between 1900-2000MHz (without any manual overlocking). GPU boost will lower the overclock if you get closer to the thermal limit set in Vbios. But at no point will it throttle anything. Throttling only appears when you get to 100°C or so when your GPU drops below base clock, at which point GPU boost is not even active anymore.
