2x16 also looks better, but there is almost no difference in performance.

why thou? most consumer cpus only have a dual channel memory controller plus it also limits upgradibility

I was just being silly.

Looks-wise having them all populated would be nicer if that's what OP is going for. Performance wise 2x16 is more than adequate.

Depends on the game, sometimes it gives 0 performance, other times it's 5-10%...

Depends very heavily of what kind of system, doing what and what  is considered “pretty significant” It ranges from zero to some imho

Not a pro, not even very good.  I’m just old and have time currently.  Assuming I know a lot about computers can be a mistake.

What are the specs of your pc?  Depending on the combination of CPU and mobo, you might want to plan for future expansion.

Mobo is a shortening of “motherboard”

Your board can take up to 128gb in the 4 slots.  You have plenty of options for upgrading.  2x16 would be a good start and would allow for another 2x16 to be easily added later.  I don't think you'll need a full 128 for what you intend on doing.

I’d add  the proviso that Theres a good chance the bios it shipped with won’t recognize 32gb DDR4 so a bios flash might be needed.
