How do you guys keep updated in the Tech World?

Hey all!

 

I'm new here and I am curious as to where you guys keep updated with tech news (websites, sources, YouTube channels, etc). I'd like to consider myself pretty tech savvy however when it comes to staying updated on relevant things I am a total snail. I'd figure this forum was a good place to start but I'd like to find sources on Twitter and perhaps Reddit as well.

There is the LTT channel called TechLinked, which posts tech news 3x a week.

Generally I just keep up with the Tech News sub-forum of this forum, as it generally contains most of the interesting tech news, the news people seem to care about.

With some of the more advanced topics, I just tend to read written news on whatever website I come across.

 

Nowadays, I seem to prefer Guru3D for benchmarks, they have a nice website layout and plenty of tests

Techlinked is one of Linus' channels that is informative and funny.

It gives interesting tech news.

 

I also used to listen to podcasts by other people about tech for years but they were like two hours long.

I just got tired of listening to them try to make a whole podcast episode out of the same stuff they always talk about.

I read some tech websites sometimes. I used to read a lot more about tech stuff online but... 

 

I think the Tech news business must be tough because really exciting stuff just doesn't happen that often. 😄

 

So that's why Techlinked works for me.

I should make a disclaimer that Tech Linked is not exactly a reputable source for the details of said tech news. It's a good place to be made aware of such stories but to get the full details you're going to have to do some digging in the original news topic on the forum it was based on and searching up articles on the matter.

I can careless about Windows news. But I still use Neowin for that. For anything android, its androidpolice. It took me a long time to admit that. I will never be able to stay up to date with everything tech.

Apart from the ones everyone has mentioned above (Techlinked, WAN Show, and the tech news portion of this forum), I signed up for daily emails from tech crunch which usually contains a pretty good summary of a major story or two. 

 

What I used to do when I had a lot of free time and did like 3 tech news posts a day, was go through the 22 sources I have booked marked (see screen shot to get the list) and read what I found interesting/important. I also pm'ed with a fellow forum member, soldier_ph, and we shared interesting stories we found.
