When I try to edit one letter in a sentence that is already written, when I click on the text, instead of the text cursor appearing, the letter I clicked on highlights! What did you expect to happen? Posted August 31, 2020 Not being obtuse but I cringed when I read this topic. BUT apparently Google Docs doesnt use the INS (insert key) I have forgotten this, my girls just reminded me, ay least insert works in MS Office online /shrug (even Corel WordPerfect uses the insert key; btw I grew up using WordPerfect). Such a shame that this generation is not exposed to all things a pc can do. Apparently Macs don't inherently have this key either, its a combo function: fn+return. I did do some research and some [very few] apple keyboards have the insert key.
