To be fair, I have all my applications I use in the taskbar or as macros (inspired by Taran).

If I need anything specific I just press the Windows key and type the name of the app. Much faster in my opinion.

I typically use Windows Decrapifier to remove the right side of the start menu completely,

or at least remove all of the crap spam entries from it with some basic defaults.

Otherwise I don’t organize it at all.

Dat me in the corner. Hi. 👋

Only organized(?) to curb the OCD demons. I... don't use half of these icons/tiles.

  • Weather, News, Date & Time, Mail: Useful as live tiles, especially the weather one.
  • Settings: Most of the time I search for specific settings with the Search Bar.
  • Chrome, Edge, Skype: I hardly ever use these as start menu tiles, they're just there to fill space.
  • Office Suite: Used sometimes.

Anything I need, I pull up with the Search Bar or ⊞ Win + E. 😁

If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

Basically I just have the stuff I most commonly use, and it also serves as a place for me to keep a collection of games next to eachother instead of all over the place on the list.

I had no idea you could even organize those stupid tiles. I also didn't know you could just hide them completely, so that's what I did :)

Be sure to QUOTE or TAG me in your reply so I see it!

I only have Photoshop, Lightroom, ExpressVPN, Calculator and VS Code as tiles. Though really, I use either shortcuts or search to open anything else and honestly, I could just pin those to the taskbar since they're my most used programs besides Chrome and get rid of the tiles altogether.

I only started to recently. I put software I use daily but only need to open once on the start menu. And things I frequently use on the taskbar

I fill mine with things like weather and news I think, 'Oh that'll be useful to look at' and proceed to never look at any of it again. The only tile actually use is my mail shortcut.

Like most people here already said, I basically never use it. Since i've used Windows 7 i never used it anymore. If something is not on my desktop or taskbar i just press the windows key start typing to search. I don't see any reason to use the start menu any other way.

If someone did not use reason to reach their conclusion in the first place, you cannot use reason to convince them otherwise.

Sometimes when I type/search for something it won't find it, particularly if it's not on the primary OS drive. That's pretty much the only stuff I pin. Or stuff I use frequently enough that it's faster to click an icon instead of typing.

But the Win10 tiles? Every time I look at Win10 I think of this video.

You likely need to enable indexing on the second drive.
