We used to have Netflix and Prime. Netflix started getting rid of good shows and movies so it got cancelled. Prime was cancelled because of an issue and I guess just fuck setting it back up. At this point we rarely use my brother's Hulu account and rely more on broadcast to watch re-runs of Home Improvement and 3rd Rock.

Just seems to be very little of actual interest on TV, cable or otherwise, and all the streaming platforms are full of garbage and hard to find good shows/movies if they exist. Every time I started up Hulu or Netflix it was 30 minutes of searching to just turn it off.

Possible addition: Prime video. Limited, but still a valid option that I use from time to time.

@JZStudios, yeah youtube is way better, new content every second, and millions of channels to choose from, all for free with minimal ads.

We still use Cable TV, Considering for our Unlimited Gigabit Internet plan it actually cost us more not to have it bundled with Cable and Phone with xFinity by Comcast.

If I have it I might aswell use it.

Package Deal $110 USD, Internet Only $140 USD. Both include taxes, equipment rental, and misc fees.

I have cable because my Internet connection is through a cable provider and my plan I subscribed to long ago includes TV, but I never watch it - Youtube Premium only.

I looked into ditching the cable sub, but it turns out that my grandfathered plan with TV is cheaper than a current net-only plan I could switch to, it would cost me an extra 5 bucks a month to downgrade from 200Mbps with TV to 100Mbps without TV 😂

I can get 1.5 Gigabit internet (1.25 down, 900 up due to bottlenecks with the modem they ship tho) for 105.99 CAD monthly, but the cable package is 110 a month, and that's without every channel.

I have one friend who still watches cable, but when you're spending that much, why not just save and get a bunch of services like Hulu or netflix instead?

This is for US members only, I take it...

I think hes talking about how services outside the US are not as robust. (Canadian Netflix pales in comparison to American, but a VPN fixes that)

Netflix (possibly cancelling)

Disney+ / Hulu / ESPN+ bundle

DC Universe / HBO Max bundle

CBS All Access

Amazon Prime

AppleTV+ (until the trial ends)

I enjoy buying junk and sinking more money than it's worth into it to make it less junk.

All we have - in the UK, that I know of - that directly connect to a TV is:

Cable - a combination of many US services from a single supplier.

Sky - satellite TV.

Freeview - digital via a TV aerial.

Things like Netflix & Amazon Prime are equally offered as internet or TV service, usually both at the same time.
