Soooo this couldn't have come at a worse time. My landlord just figured out where 2kW's were going and he's pissed. I'm gonna try to downplay it but until I get him off my back I gotta shut everything down.  I'll see what I can do. No promises though.

Well that sucks, maybe offer some compensation for this month and get them back up and running? 8 more hours, why couldn't this have happened after that

Sucks  How does this work? Here every tenant has their own meter and pays what they use and one's consumption is nobody's business...

Some places have power, gas, water and even sometimes internet included in rent. But usually this has a fair use policy, so if you are stupid with it, think mining or DC and being stupid with power then they can often fine you or something similar. You get this in student accommodation here a fair amount.

thank God i pay my own electricity...Now i have gotten 1 letter and 1 Email from my electric company saying my usage has more than doubled with a coupon and adverts for 10% off 3 different "recommended" Air con companies...if only they Knew....
