Right now we're leaning to Teamspeak although Linus really likes mumble... mumble looks to be very expensive though

Teamspeak.

Edit:

If we are supposed to have a reason, Teamspeak is my reason....

I just remembered a good (Possible) reason. ARMA2's ARCE mod is intergrated into Teamspeak. I think its more likely that an ACRE type mod arises for Star Citizen running Teamspeak as the client.

I have never used either one. But there is a song for the ventrilo right so that should count for something.

*I voted for TS BTW, just about every online game I played has guilds that uses TS.

By the looks of it you could chose to use something other than Teamspeak but the more hardcore players would end up using Teamspeak anyway and then everyone else would get dragged into it....

Either Teamspeak or Mumble, Teamspeak from a set up point of view is a lot easier and it is a lot more polished, Yes licencing it costs money but you get a very stable and well liked product. Mumble can be very good but really only for a casual crowd not large groups.

I would use either of these two my vote is however for Teamspeak.
