Just FYI:  Black Friday will not put up hot gear, its all weird gear and stupidt things or a Vizio TV for 400 bucks and stuff like that.  The 9900k and so on 3900x and what not will not go on a killer sale on black friday, however their prices will drop by default due to its the end of the year.  Don't expect price changes with those CPU's as that is not what black friday is about.  Unless Im wrong but every black Friday I notice its weird stupid things that go on sale.  Not top of the line gear that is new like the 3900x.  The 3900x will remain 500 dollars and so will the 9900k.

Agreed. And who would even care about the 9900k now that the 3950X is out. And that's coming from someone that actually own a 9900k...

black friday is the friday after thanks giving if i'm not mistaken.

but i belive cyber monday is better for pc components.

my problem is my birthday is the 4th of november so i'm always too impatient to wait a month before buying stuff.

:P

Anything i've written between the * and * is not meant to be taken seriously.

keep in mind that helping with problems is hard if you aren't specific and detailed.

i'm also not a professional, (yet) so make sure to personally verify important information as i could be wrong.

Care to share the sales pages?

I do black friday every year and its very meh for pc parts. I honestly cant remember the last time a major deal was put out.

Looking at newegg/amazon/best buy the sales arent even as good as random sales that have happened over the past few months.

There are perhaps better sales on single items throughout the year, but if you're building an entire system, Black Friday will net you the best overall package.

Depends on what your building. And if your willing to compromise on parts.

if your willing to plan your build around black friday and your willing to buy whatever on sale instead of a specific part you had planned.

I find it highly unlikely that you saved $400-$500 on a build just buy buying everything on black friday.  Even the things that go on sale are only like 10-40 bucks cheaper then the retail price (which they show inflated. usually it maybe 10-20 bucks off what you can find everyday on slickdeals or ebay). How many parts are in your build to where you save $400?

The parts you'd usually find in a build.

And yes, you pick what's on sale, as there's often very little difference between say higher end motherboards, HDDs, NVME drives, etc.

Cases can easily be found on sale as well. Most times I'll save $100+ just on the case alone. My builds are Canadian, so whike that factors in, it's similar in the US.

What case was $100 off for BF? id have to see that to believe it.

And if that is true that still leaves $300 in savings youd have to get from a mobo, cpu, ram, video card, and psu. Youd have to save an average of $60 on each part and ive never seen that amount of savings. And i was doing black friday back when you had to get to best buy at 9pm thursday night and camp out till 6am.

So basically....its not true? I mean if you saved $100 on a case you would atleast remember what case it was right?

Im not trying to be a dick but when people are asking about deals on black friday it helps none of them to exaggerate the deals. Youll have people waiting out for these killer deals that are never coming. Thinking they can get a $1000 pc for $500-$600.

Better just to be honest and realistic so they get real help for planning their build.

It was an EVGA case. I don't know the model number, because they don't have very memorable names.

I'm not exaggerating. I know the deals are there, and no, you don't have to go wait in line for them, you can simply order them online. The days of waiting in line for sales are pretty much over unless you want something that is in store only.

I am being honest, I am being realistic. I've already put together build a build for a friend this year, including BF sales.

Im not saying the deals arent there. there are some. they just are not amazing by any means. You arent going to get a $1000 pc for $500-600 on BF. Thats not being realistic.

Unless you are going by the retailers suggested price. Where they will take a product that sales for $100 all year round. Mark it up to $150 and then put a sale price of $80 on it for BF. That happens alot. That doesnt mean you save $70. You saved $20.

Evga has only had a handful of cases that were over $100 on a normal day. and looking at past BF deals i dont see any deals on them. Unless you have some random mom and pop store that sold it...which in that case doesnt mean anything since the vast majority of people wont have access to that deal.

You can look up past BF deals for pc parts. they arent great. and going through them i still dont see how anyone would save $500 on a build.

Yes i know you dont have to camp out for them anymore....the point i was making is ive been doing the black friday thing for a while now (I think i was 14 the first time i did it so 15 years now). My friends/family are insane over it. Damn near like generals planning for world war lol.  Every year the first thing i personally look for is pc parts.
