Corsair Keyboards vs Razer

BelgianNoise

Ive been using a razer blackwidow chroma for like 6 years now. Recently a key started acting up, managed to DIY it tho.

I am thinking of getting a new keyboard new that i can still sell this one(rgb, media control, macros). I think its still worth a couple 10s.

Under the recent video on floatplane about 50-75$ keyboards i saw 2 comments about corsair keyboards braking in under a year.

Can you guys share ur experience with corsair keyboards? And also recommend me one, i dont put a price a limit on my keyboards :)

Since im using corsair fans, aio, ram, psu, case im really thinking of getting a corsair kb, just to have less programs for all my peripherals.

Also, are their headsets any good? The "leather" on my razer headset started peeling off after under a year, for the second time, never buying razer headphones again.

I am here to learn, please correct me if im wrong or you see me putting bs on your screen!

corsair keyboards are pretty good, it's not really my kind of preference but they do make good stuff. I wouldn't get a corsair headset though, they kinda suck. Senneheiser headsets are the way to go

Corsair's mechanical keyboards are all pretty bad, and same with Razer (except for the Huntsman TE). Corsair uses mediocre Cherry switches, Razer (other than on the Huntsman series) uses low end Kailh/Greetech switches, and both of them use complete garbage tier thin laser etched ABS keycaps, with non standard bottom rows (so replacing them with decent ones can be difficult).

If you really don't have a budget, you could check out various custom keyboards. That could go from about $100 to a few thousand, depending on what you want. Custom mechs typically don't require any software to run on your PC, you just flash software to them, and then you're done.

Had my corsair K70 with cherry mx red's since 2013, it's insane how good the quality is, no problems whatsoever with it still even the keycaps feel really good, i've been taking good care of it cleaning it now and then and i removed the keycaps and washed them a couple of times

super high quality stuff

Caps aren't shiny? At least some of them must be.

Disagree on the super good though, those caps they use are shitty as it gets. Corsair caps get shiny quickly, yours might be exception, but maybe you just don't care. Also it's a bitch to replace them with better ones.

Ive had my k95 for only about 6 months but I really like it. I had a logitec 910 before but like you I have a bunch of corsair stuff so I decided to change my keyboard and mouse. Dont regret the keyboard at all but I kinda miss my 502 compared to the Dark Core SE I got

I really like my razer blackwidow with its razer green switches.
Also, BE AZERTY  isnt supported by lots of manufacturers.

is there any keyboard you can recommend me ?

How are you defining good quality in this instance?

That it's well designed and well made, it feels like a premium product. It's worth the money for what you get imo, i've tried other keyboards but this is my fav one. Had it for 6 years now and nothing is broken and its performance is still amazing today compared to other keyboards

Tried some of the other "mainstream" mechanical keyboards, razer blackwidow, the logitech one with they're own mechanical switches (don't remember what it was called) HyperX alloy, etc

No Filco, Leopold or Ducky? What about Cooler Master. No customs?  You've tried some 2s and 3s so your 4 seems good. But you've never experienced a 9 or a 10.

Bruh the topic was corsair vs razer, we're not talking about fully custom keyboards

looks nice but sadly no option for any AZERTY layout.
I think thats why i just went with a "normal" keyboard the previous time.
