AMD Ryzen 3950x Possibly Releasing Sept. 30th

Nah. We have them at msrp. Microcenter isn't an asshole. Unfortunately nothing in europe :(

Only if I live in the US....

I just don't like to pay inflated price.  Caseking is selling it for €529, which isn't too terrible. Except it's out of stock at this moment. The price will come down eventually. No need to rush. Moreover, we may have better idea about the 3950X and even TR3 very soon.

Same. I've been waiting on the Crosshair VIII Impact and TU150. Impact is currently being shipped and TU150 is still on pre-order.

Still waiting for the 3950X :I

Can't find Crosshair Impact listed anywhere. What is the MSRP?

It's just the supply is tight for this particular CPU.

Given the CCD requirement for the 3900X that's hopefully more of an indication of EPYC2 demand than anything.

I got mine off eBay UK for £352. Normally £390-£400 depending on seller. eBay had one of those "10% off" coupons so that's why I got it "cheap".

"Cheap" is the right word for this mobo, Lol. So, it'd be €400+ here. I'll wait for review before deciding which itx mobo to get. Thanks for the information.

While I have not been obsessively tracking 3900X availability in the UK, I can say whenever I've looked, supply is in constraint. Anywhere resembling a fair price rarely has stock. You can list whatever price you like if you don't have stock. You can get it if you pay above the odds for it.

On the flip side I'm not surprised by this. We see elevated pricing and short stock on high end Intel CPUs when they launch also. You can argue as much as you like if it is short supply or high demand, end result is the same. You either need to be lucky, pay more, or wait for the situation to stabilise. We'll probably see the same again with 3950X when we eventually get it.

Gaming laptop: Lenovo Legion 5, 5800H, RTX 3070, Kingston DDR4 3200C22 2x16GB 2Rx8, Kingston Fury Renegade 1TB + Crucial P1 1TB SSD, 165 Hz IPS 1080p G-Sync Compatible

I work for a Belgian retailer, we still haven't gotten our 3900X we ordered on launch day. Keeps getting delayed. I've been keeping an eye on stock with other retailers in Belgium, Netherlands and Luxemburg and I've seen like 3 webshops have a bit of stock shortly after launch and only Alternate having some stock for the past few weeks. At the moment no one has any in BE or NL.

So yeah, there's a shortage.

I hope a lot of them were that dumb.  Then there will be a flood of used 3900 on the market as soon as the 3950 is actually shipping.  LOL

From 3900X to 3950X, that'll be one hell of an upgrade.

Thank goodness we finally got a day of release by the end of September! Hopefully the price is good, and that its performance backs it up.

Once benchmarks and reviews come out, that's when I make the decision of purchasing the 3950X or a 3900X. I already have an RTX 2080 Ti, and I'm still on my X99 system with an i7-5930K, which is pretty old by now (released in 2014).

The microcenter page for the 3900X doesn't exist anymore. Listings gone on the website.
Don't think it amounts to anything more than the processor being really out of stock right now. Really want a release date on the 3950X so I can get my order in.

It won't release until November per AMD tweet today:

:(

What a surprise. NOBODY saw that coming with 10 days to go....

Well, if there's any positives to take, it's that the bios' should be fixed by then (Right..AMD?). Other than that, I'm pretty angry. Furious in fact. I planned to build in July, I then planned to build in September and now I plan to build in November. At this rate Zen3 will come around before the 3950x does.
