the M50 is the BMW

 

lol. I think I still consider that the Porsche. I mean, BMW actually has a 300 series. Plus, leather interior! But I could see it as a BMW. Maybe a 1 series. Cute, fast and the pilot would likely get shot out the front windshield in an accident. Though I think that might happen to most ships in this game. I've never seen my pilot put on his seat belt.

I was thinking something like this would be cool too. I also thought OC3D as they are more UK/European and I don't know any australian or asian forums but could be cool. I know a few of these forums (tek syndicate and oc3d) have unofficial groups already don't know if they (or we for that matter) would be willing to merge and/or when multiple groups are available they could join us also.

I had a thought about the "Variants" what if they are not types as such but test fitted custom ships, where they fitted out all the possible kit you can throw on them, expanded cargo, senosr packages ect?

Looking at how spread out we all are, there would only be a few hours where there are limited members online. And we're likely to all have different work/school/life schedules as well. With this many members, it's not likely ever going to be quiet in game, lol.

Likley to be the Bengal. Or Bengal class ships in the future. Though people say the Bengal is a military ship, meaning NPC only more than likely.

Yes, Bengals will be NPC only at first, BUT it has been stated a few times that it's possible for a group to steal them from the UEE Navy. The group just has to be big and organized enough take over such a ship without actually destroying it. Of course, it's also immediately reported as stolen, so it's basically confined to lawless space until it's completely destroyed.

holy balls looks like another ship that rivals the superhornet, I hope theres a base one with variants, that one previewed is like the supped up jacked version of it, like the hornet and superhornet.

From what I can tell the M50 is lighter therefor likely faster/more adgile but the 350r has some cargo room, more room within the ship, and may look better?

I say M50, but only because that is,in my opinion, one of the best looking ships in star citizen.

m50 looks better in my opinion and being more mobile should help win more dogfights rather than having more cargo and extra legroom

M50>350r because of what you said and I consider it more dedicated as a racer ship.

There are a number of ways to get it, off reddit via good reputable traders like Kane or by asking people on the forums if they want to sell it or trade ships/RSI credit for it.

I just thought if something, you guys know pink slips and such for racing right? Could you possibly beat a m50 with a 350r and then win it? Obviously this would be quite extreme and not many would do this, just a thought I got

I'd take the 350r for overall usage. More storage based on the current specs, there isn't much to dictate which will be faster top speed wise, just which have faster acceleration due to mass. Both have x2 t4 engines. The maneuvering might be different though. 350R has 12xT1 thrusters while the M50 only has 8xT2. So the 350R might turn a little easier, while the M50 can likely make higher speed turns.

 

So, yeah. 350r for me.
