LTT Conglomerate main discussion thread

yea I'm hoping to get the avenger it looks cool and has some mysterious sleeping quarters which i hope will be used to contain my prisoners :)

Hey, I too have an Avenger and it is rally cool.  It does have minimal space for comfort but makes up for that will a bed and 4 pods in the cargo hold for prisoners as you said.  Unless you plan on doing other things with prisoners  ;).  If you have any questions about the Avenger or others ship feel free to shoot me a message!  I am really excited about the game and want to help others get the game!  Also we need more Avengers in the Conglomerate... anyways I hope you have a swell time picking out a ship and I will see you up there in the stars.

In the video it showed off the top-of-the-line hornet a.k.a. Super Hornet like most companies do.  You can tell by the turret on the top yet you can always purchase that with UEC (the in-game currency).  Also in the video the 300 series you saw was most likely the 325a or at least a 300i outfitted with the 325a equivalent armaments.

You are right about it is not about how good your firepower is but how good you are with your guns.  That is what Star Citizen is all about.  It is about building and fine tuning your ship to cater to your needs so you don't need to have the most powerful ship but one that is best for you.  If your best is the most powerful than go for it but if you want to be stealthy then there is a updgrade path for you.  I hope this helps and see up there in the stars.

I thought it was the normal 7C because it said it in the video but then I saw the top guns which are preinstalled with the super hornet. (was gatling guns but they changed to the long narrow ones BTW)

So I want a escorting/bountyhunting/mercenary  combat ship , main choice now. Now, I need a ship LOL.

For ships with the starting hangar, if we get another ship, will the starting hangar expand or will we move up to the business? Also, if we move up to business, does it HAVE to be a ship that includes the business hangar?

If you have the money buy the 325a.  It it more geared toward combat, but if you are fine with waiting a little and spending some time upgrading in-game then you will have the weapons systems of the 325a on the base variant, 300i.  It is purely preference and I decided to support the game more by paying more because I am really excited and looking forward to what will come out of this.  In regards of the hanger you will not be upgraded to a business hanger but I believe space will be added.  If you prefer a business hanger than that will cost you $20 which you could be spending elsewhere.  I hope this helps in your decision and message me back if you need additional help and I will see you up there in the stars.

Well how much money do you have to spend.  Money may be a limiting factor and it is much easier to narrow down your option by putting a price tag.  Message me back if you come up with a maximum and we can go from there.  Also you can join LTT Conglomerate by first purchasing a ship package and then sending an application to the leaders/mods (not really sure the positions and titles yet) of the organization!  I hope I will see you there and up in the stars.

Thanks, and yea I saw the $20 upgrade. Is the $40 to deluxe from starting or business?

I see, the 300i is the "barebones" of the 300 series. Is it just like the hornet and their diff classes? I hope you can upgrade the base hornet to the specs of a super hornet...that would be great!

My budget varies, I mean obviously spending $300 for a super hornet is obviously not worth it for many, but not unless it is a long term investment and fulfills your wants for a while. Its also a dedicated fighter; thats the only thing you're gonna do with it, nothing else.

But drop that budget down and you have some interesting things. The under $100 range for ships(that I consider) consists are the avenger and  300 series. over 100 and I'm looking at the cutlass and hornet. But will most likely be spending under $100 and will earn my way to a hornet or cutlass, or another new ship that they release in the future.

so avenger and 300 series. hmm. I really hope UEC and the upgrades do not take ages to buy. For a mercenary, that could take time, depending on what and how much resources you are escorting, but bounty hunts are great ways of UEC as well.

Also what is a conny/connie that many speak of?

Ohhh boy its much more than a p2w game... and yes the prices are exorbitant for many but with a starting ship you could go lightyears (get it?)

Heads up pilots I know that this is not the right thread for this but the a new Nvidia driver has been released today if you have not already downloaded it yet.  Just want you to know and I hope this doesn't just crap all over your computer like some drivers I have experienced for AMD.  Yet I have little experience with Nvidia GPU drivers so I am not a fan boy if you think I am on.  Anyways I hope this helped at least one person and I hope to see you up there in the stars.

That's fine!

What ship have you got?

I like the Tiber system, same name as the river in Rome (I might move there).

Isn't that where all the Tiberium business started?

I think it is a $40 flat fee to get the deluxe because I currently own the business hanger and it only shows an option for a $40 price.  All the ships with different variants are basically structured the same and each variant will serve its specific purpose and do it will well while other tasks will be seaming contrary.  I didn't buy the Cutlass because the guns it comes with pre-installed is very poor for the price.  I don't believe anything is actually outfitted with any guns except for wingtip guns.  If you want to dog fight ALL DAY EVERY DAY then I strongly urge you to get a hornet at this point in time.  It is the best dog fighter there is for now and it leaves others in the dust when compared to a ship with a equally skilled pilot.  To address the under $100 range, I went with the Avenger because of its potential.  The weapons on the thing are great and it has a built in cargo hold with 4 (as of right now) pods to store prisoners or passengers, whichever you choose.  If you can sacrifice speed and agility you may be buying one of the most versatile ships in Star Citizen.  The 300 series in a whole new ballpark.  Think of it as a sports car or a BMW as many have made this comparison.  That is what the 300 series all about.  It is about speed and luxury with the ability to take on another ship in space.  If you were to buy the base model of the 300 series, the 300i, it would be a good way to start but would get you far unless you upgrade.  The 325a on the other hand has extreme flexibility and has the ability to take a hornet(personally I wouldn't because unless your a super pilot the hornet does have the guns to take you down) yet this is extremely difficult.  I almost went this route but I changed my mind because of the Avenger is a versatile ship. I went with it to gun down a 300i and have a fair fight with a hornet.  I would suggest the Avenger unless you want to be flashy and fast but possibly lacking in what truly matters, combat performance.  That was my small rant about why to get the Avenger but if you are still not convinced there are nearly 1000 people in LTT Conglomerate and I am sure at least another is willing to help.  I hope to see you join soon and up there in the stars.

I was just wondering,  will we all be putting our hangers in the same system for the convenience of being closer to each other or will we be expands to the far corners of the universe to have the ability of fast response nearly anywhere?  I was thinking about this because of  the emergence of galactic guides boasting of all the perks of a specific system.  I haven't really gone in-depth with systems yet but I am planning to get a Universe map that will be right next you me when we are ready to engage an enemy.  I just worry if we are too spread out that we will have no possible way to take a larger fleet if we were to be attacked and need reinforcements ASAP.  I just hope for the best of the LTT Conglomerate and I hope to see all of you up there in the stars.

It may be a lot but the yields of buying one is nothing to laugh at.  The Avenger is a great budget ship and the 325a is a good contender too.  I think now you need to go with your gut and stick with it.

Alright, hornet it is. I've spent too much time and you're right, I'm too picky and over analyse everything. I should just "YOLO" it and get it.

But its only when its more than normal investments, damn me.

But at least we have the soothing sound of a stapler gun at the firing range unless that was fixed in the new patch.
