Is it possible to darken the discord thumbnail for night theme users

Rohith_Kumar_Sp

Like the fly attracted to the light, my eyes and my peripheral vision keeps going back to the blue anomaly that is the discord thumbnail on the right hand side, more so if you have vision problems

ofcourse i can ublock origin to manually block only that but it would also remove ads from the forum, i don't want to do that.

It was super easy with the "resource override" chrome extension (After some quick googling). Not sure if it can be trusted, but it was ez..

(keep in mind that the discord button is dymically rendered via discord magic to show the numbers online; so you replacing it this way wont show the dynamic content without alot of effort)

If you want complete control, and dont trust extensions; then you can run just this site though something like your own squid proxy server and 'MIM' it with your own trusted root cert to keep https. Then use a regular expression to find and replace the image string manually. But dymaically loaded content that is generated after the page loads will require some kind of extension... some people have even made thier own extensions to replace HTML elemts via regular expressions... looks like it would take some time to figure out though.

It's been interesting to see that everyone complaining also uses adblock on the fourm. But the discord banner is an experiment, and I don't know if it will stay in its current form.

i've turned it off on the forums, at first i was like, oh, i can just use ublock to block that region with its picker, and then i was like oh wait, i have LTT forums on white list so if i want to do that manual blocking i have to turn it on to actually make use of that custom picker.

Edit, white ads on forum also an eye sore really. but apart from amazon and newegg ads, most of them are dark themed
