unlikely that they will call of buying Huawei, what is likely is that they will diversify their equipment a bit. mostly due to cost of conversion. which is tallied to be quite high.

Telia is still on edge on who they are buying from. believe Telenor has said they would use Huawei equipment.

also we still havent gotten any word from the meeting Telia, Icenet and Telenor were going to have with the goverment regarding this, laying plans for the future. That there is far from a official decision.

on the plus side. Huawei seems more determined to build trust in foreign countries.

Why do i have a sinking feeling that we(the consumers) gonna get the short end of the stick because of this childish tantrum between china and the USA...

It is when there is no evidence for anything... They should first inspect the source code of the software for nefarious stuff not throw around baseless accusations.

Nations are not obligated to show you and disclose to the world the evidence they have that could effect national security.

Its not always about you and what you personally have seen.

China is a great ally of the Pacific region, the free trade deals have been a huge boost to the economy. Many great deals have been reached, but we also don't want Huawei infrastructure (Although its badly needed).

Our own governments and big corp (Facebook anyone) spys on us far more than China does.  It’s to do with money.  Nothing to do with us the consumer.
