Holy moly, still that is nice output.

I need to get my hands on an used one or evga b-stock one.  Plan to finally retire the GTX960 FTW and get one of those 1660Tis to drop in the 2nd rig.

There still pretty new so a used one might be hard to find. I've sorted out the overclocking under Linux. Nvidia, bless their souls, has silently changed how to overclock under Linux at least for Turing. The old method still works for Pascal but the new way also works under Linux.

I still consider the 2060 the best value if money is not a consideration.

I have no interest in any of the 2XXX cards.  The 1660Ti and lower interest me the most, as I'm replacing the GTX960 which is my lower end card for tinkering.

Yeah, I was not excepting used ones to be around a whole lot yet.  I can wait out till I see one pop up in the used market.

As for the mining cards the ones I’ve seen in my City the sellers want way too much money for them. Better to just take the money you would have spent on older, less efficient hardware and put it towards a Turing or Navi ...

Yeah the prices on used cards here in New Zealand are crazy as well. If I'm buying a card where I don't know the history (I.e. not buying from a friend), and it doesn't have any warranty then it better be at a VERY hefty discount off new. But I'm forever seeing one and two generation old cards here for 70-80% of new price. Crazy.

Well at least your in the US so you can get B-stock from EVGA. While that service is technically available in Canada they refuse to ship via USPS to Canada Post even though it has the same features as Couriers so you end up paying hefty shipping fees, brokerage charges as well as the currency conversion fee.

Would it be a power issue?

I'd say you pushing pretty close to that wattage rating

I guess it could be. I forgot to say that nothing is overclocked. I had a modest oc running with the previous 1920X just fine though on both cards.

Can you fold on both cards and not the CPU?

Tried it, tough when the Titan kicks in somehow the system crashes.

Also, it's not instantaneous. After a few minutes of regular folding with regular PPD estimates it crashes.

I'll try reseating the cards when I get home, tho that requires disassembling the entire loop again?

Yay for SFF water-cooling.

Check out this level of MacGyver engineering! Has to cut out everything in the case to fit the EATX motherboard but here we are!

Don't even ask about that AIO...

alright, so reseating the GPU's didn't do anything.

i'm thinking maybe i got both the cards on the same 12V rail in my PSU, which is causing the instability? is that something that's even possible? my PSU knowledge is basically 0 ?

It is possible but isn't the supernova a single room PSU?

@Ben Quigley so far the windows reinstall seems to have done the trick. it's been running fine for a good while now.

i'm still on stock clocks though, and now i'm pretty cautious about overclocking again on this wattage.

maybe i'll just do a mild oc on the 1070 first?

If you're going to do an OC, do the problem card first.  Less work to unroll if something happens.

Yeah it's quite strange. I have to use Edge browser to actually view the page, and even then I get a warning.

I took a look at it.  Their SSL certificate expired yesterday.  What this means is that, while you can still use it, it is technically invalid.  Most browsers today won't let you do that without at least jumping through hoops to say "I know I'm not secure here", because this has been used as a method of attack in the past.

In short, this is probably just an oversight on the part of the site admin there, and I expect it'll be corrected in a day or two once they renew the certificate.
