Just want to do a little Poll and find what percentage of LTT members use an anti-virus.

I personally haven't used once since XP and disable Windows Defender in 10. I run a custom firewall along with windows firewall and monitor my network traffic using Glasswire, along with wireshark at times.

BitDefender is the only AV I've ever paid for. Tested it personally with my stuff and it (almost, 98%) always blocked different kinds of trojans

I wouldn't really count that one, as 90% of the devices I have come into my store with infection issues have either that or Norton.

I personally use Avast on my desktop and phone because it's (relatively) lightweight and no problems have come up when I've used them.

Idk, I use none tbh... I just don't have any sensitive material on my computer that I wouldn't want to be stolen, and I just take care of what I open on the internet. Simple as that.

I use bitdefender and malawarebytes

though im not sure mb counts as it was created as an addon not a full on av

I personally haven't used once since XP and disable Windows Defender in 10. I run a custom firewall along with windows firewall and monitor my network traffic using Glasswire, along with wireshark at times.

Been using Windows Defender and MalwareBytes Anti-Malware Premium for close to 4 years now, with absolutely zero problems. Well, other than the usual false positive detection when I download something that a software developer has paid Microsoft or MalwareBytes to mark as "dangerous" for certain reasons. But both are easy enough to disable when I need to, and MBAM has been better than any other program or firewall I've used at blocking access to malicious IP scans through Skype (because Skype is an insecure piece of broken crap) and malicious websites.

Also, since Intel acquired "M security" it is no longer an Anti-Virus program @Bxboy420 and should never be referenced by it's full name. Ever. I'd rather have a russian hacker steal my identity because at least it'd be fun going through the process of recovering my identity compared to dealing with "M security"... :D

Just paid for Kaspersky Internet Security 2017 for five devices. Real time protection is very good as per AV-Comparatives and AV-Test. So far it doesn't seem to take a toll on resources that much and detection is very good.

When moving to Windows 10 I used defender and malware bytes. Gave me the least amount of headaches so far.
