Worst: A wireless music controller that only works with iOS. I have an Android phone. 

 

Best: iFixit Pro Tech toolkit. The quality of the kit is outstanding, well worth getting one if you don't have one already.

I wish someone would give me a new soldering iron I keep having to get my own. Nice variable ones aren't cheap either.

 

I didn't really get anything bad this year, I was given a crimping set once for my 'computer work' but it was all automotive stuff. Seemed like a bad gift until I needed it to redo a dashboard in one of my cars.

Silent build - You know your pc is too loud when the deaf complain. Windows 98 gaming build, smells like beige

The worst: This one i gave to myself, a Denon DCM-360. It worked for a few months, played some discs on it, busted the audio out board in 4 months of use, and now it sits on my shelf.

 

The best: After complaining to my mother about the broken Denon above, i also mentioned i really wanted an SACD playback device. Next thing i know, on my birthday, she came to me and handed me this huge box, with a champagne colored Sony DVP-NS900V inside, the rarest color of the model. She said she bought it from a dude on HTForum (local AV forum, very traditional). It looks like a brand new device, it came in the original box, it has the note of purchase, the manuals, the controller, a pair of Van Damme RCA cables, oh, just perfect!

I'm lucky, my dad already dables in that stuff so I have pretty much anything I could ever need.

I mean I technically only got an H115i and M65 PRO RGB, and the H115i is probably the worst one just because noisy fans and my CPU is a queef and has shitty IHS application.
