Unigine Valley Benchmark Scores Thread + SUPERPOSITION ***Over 1000 Submissions!***

Jumper118

Alright, I have a couple benchmarks being done right now. A 1080p and 4K run, both being done on my sleeper. This should be interesting, hot, and loud. Just the way I like it. @Darkman

EDIT: Well, Valley apparently doesn't like DSR, so no 4K benchmarks. But I did get a 1080p bench in. Sadly, the 480 is the limiting factor here.

Core 2 Duo E7400 @ 2.80 GHz

Nvidia GTX 480 ES 1.5GB

650MHz GPU / 1600 MEM

Avg: 23.1

Score: 968

Setting: 1080p Extreme HD

-snip-

Oh the dirty dirty things I would do to that 480 with BIOS mods.

Well yeah after I bench it in like sub zero ambient temps on air.

tbh mine has a huge air cooler on it already. i'll get it out sometime this week and see how hot i can get it on the stock bios. then if it hasn't reach over 100c i'll send you the bios :P

I think I did everything right and got rather impressive results if I'm not wrong.

shame its the wrong resolution. also its just slower than a 760@1080p. your cpu is probably to blame there.

I'd love to see how it does at 1080p, CPU is bottlenecking there quite hard as Jumper said

I still need to voltmod my card and bop those last two 680 scores up there at least, though a good memory bump could do that. But I'd love to go competing against a 960

LTT's fastest Valley 970, slowest Valley Basic and Extreme HD scores

It took Jumper I think 5.2GHz on a i5 2550k to get Maxwell to score right with his 970.

VRMs overheating or being to hot cause a lot of issues on GPU's when overclocking causing instability. I found that out with my 6950 Power Edition when I was trying to push 1050 core on it. Vrms would overheat the the ecc gddr5 on it would detect an error and cause the driver to crash loop into a system lockup

I don't think my vrms were overheating , the diodes on them read max 88 or so , I think my core was overheating . It was good at 1150 until the core hits 60 , then It would artifact , it's a shame that card is still damaged tho. I wanted to run it again tonight but it's still black screening :/

88C is pretty hot for benching you want them around 45-60C at the most. My 770's when benching true unstable speeds I had the vrms at 35C any hotter and the card you just crash and burn

MSI GTX 780Ti Lightning MOA Edition.

Saw two on eBay early in the year. One had a cooler and the other one didn't. The one with the cooler had two 8 pins and the the one without had two 8 pins and a 6 pin.

hmmm that's interesting. I thought vrm temps being in the 80's to 90's was normal. ... Guess. Was wrong lol

well depends on the card though not doing any fan placement adjustments or anything its normal for AMD cards to run as hot as 100C on the VRMs. Like my 280's vrms run stupid hot I'm talking about 100-115C but its also got 400W going through it also

In GBP that thing was like 500GBP. So maybe it went for around that. The seller was a Polish guy however.
