DAT TEMP! 146C?

 

If you look at the graph its a weird random spike (maybe). I love AMD sensors.

Thinking about seeing if I can get my 650ti or 970 to score higher tonight. I know for sure the FTW+ 970 can seeing 8GHz effective on memory for Samsung is nothing... Not sure about the 650ti though, don't think I can push the memory higher with its core all the way at 1202MHz coming from its stock of a wimpy 928MHz... Eh, Tuesday is my last day of school and it is a half day... Quite tempting tbh.

 

MUST SCORE 1000 OR HIGHER WITH 650TI!!!! :P

Yeah, lol. It seems my 650ti just won't score any higher... Time to see what my ftw+ will do... Wonder if it'll ever beat my dead strix that was a total monster... Score of 3007 in Valley. :o

Its the VRM's on the card they are just getting to hot on the reference cooler

Not always, since he is running a very hot card probably the hottest from Nvidia since 480 Fermi days.

A BIOS mod my help but its far a few inbetween I wouldn't be the one to go for it since I still don't own any Maxwell GPU's in my house hold.​

@Jumper118, @KingCry, Lays, I did it... I beat the beast of a Strix, damn was that card a fucking monster for what it happened to be... But one issue, 90% sure my Xeon is the limiting factor of this card... Must say though, it does scale much better than my Strix ever did... Might help seeing it has much better power delivery imo.

Except overclocking a Xeon is a bitch. I've personally thought about selling it and my PS Vita for like $130 since its a first gen with a cheap leather case and 4GB of storage, along with CoD (LOL) but the good thing is 1st gens can easily be made into portable emulators. Then of course getting an i7 just for overclocking... :) But I would have to hope I'd win the lottery...

Only if all of the Strixes had Samsung memory and not just the first gen... Mine was a beast scoring 3007 in extreme hd... Sadly my old psu killed it. :( have yet to get my FTW+ to beat it or at least score 2900 which it probably can do, its memory hasn't been pushed very far.

 

Edit: You should see what its memory can do, Hynix 90% of the time can't do more than an extra 75MHz though. :(

Pro Tip: don't use flash when taking pictures of your build; use a longer exposure instead. Prop up your camera with something (preferably a tripod) if necessary.

Try running your card somewhere cold with the fans set to max, the colder you can keep Hynix chips the faster they'll go before crapping out

Alright, just placed my order for two 980 Ti's from EVGA.  Will be here tomorrow and I will see if I can beat my old score, which currently is #2 overall.  Going to sell my 980's on ebay.

It's strange because my 780 TI classified & all of them have Hynix from what i've seen, and it's all doing 7900-8100 mhz, yet the hynix on my 970's could barely do 7500-7600.

I replaced thermal paste, then removed the shroud and fans, then put 2 2800 RPM fans on the heatsink and put them on 100% fan speed. Temps maxed out at like 74c lol

 

If I had a better cooling solution like a custom loop, it would of done 1400 mhz I'm sure.
