I'd imagine inhaling water vapor on a regular basis would be like inhaling regular water but in smaller amounts. Which is fine as long as it's not like you inhaled nearly a lung full. Which the water vapor would be fine.

 

I suppose it's sort of like that. Though this time around I'd think it's less likely to cause issues. Mostly because again a propylene glycol based solution should be safe unless they're adding in some unsafe chemicals. Which is easily fixable by banning those chemicals in the bases of the vape juice and just forcing the vape juice base to be only water and or propylene glycol.

A snickers is a little different. Because there's more things than just the propylene glycol and water. Though technically there's usually more than just propylene glycol and water in the vape juice.

 

I feel like I'm playing devils' advocate here, but honestly I'd much rather people who got into smoking or had been considering getting into smoking and instead get into vaping because if I, or someone else with asthma walk by them or where they were smoking it wouldn't affect us at all or as badly if it was real cigarette smoke.

Quick thoughts on system: I7 is extremely quick and I'm glad I spent the extra for hyper-threading. I regret my decision to get the GTX 970, it has horrible coil whine. There isn't any excuse for this terrible whine I and others are having. I HIGHLY recommend a 144hz monitor. Future Improvements/upgrades: Rubber fan mounts, basic speakers, more ram (for a total of 16gb), replace GPU.

144hz is love. 144hz is life. I like to submit unfinished posts then do about 20 edits. I like the Night Theme too.

I'm gonna say it's a fairly good idea. Since there's no regulation currently for liquid nicotine regarding it purity, chemical composition, etc. The FDA can now actually step in if needed to. 

 

Also, didn't read about this, but will the actual e-cig be reviewed and regulated as well? I've seen too many incidents lately of e cigs exploding from their batteries and causing serious harm and burns to people's faces. If they impose manufacturing standards to keep this stuff from happening, i'm all for it, even if it raises the price up a few bucks at retail.

Just last week a bill passed in california raising the legal smoking age (including e cigs and vaping products) to 21.(it was 18 before that).

I propose stopping production ammunition and firearms. Over time guns will wear down and ammo will run out.

Wrong.  Nicotine is undeniably unhealthy.  Not only is it an addictive drug(makes it bad by default right there) that both alters mind and mood it also affects individuals heart rate.  Aaand, it gets even better!  Nicotine has demonstrated some neat bonuses for users of a cumulative nature.  Meaning the more and longer its being used, the worse it gets for me.

Though I do agree, eliminating tar and all the other crap in tobacco is a step in the right direction albeit not the ideal cold turkey switch everyone would prefer auto-magically.

(I for one would have killed a great number of people, and myself, by now had I continued with my cold turkey attempt)

Good. I would rather skip straight to banning it (and smoking in general) entirely, but I know my opinion is in the minority. Besides, the government likes its tax money.

If it's a test of marksmanship a high velocity low mass projectile like a bb gun should be sufficient enough for target practice. Sure some competition shooters and such want to try extreme ranges but most of the time I see gun range footage it's always a certain individual with a certain color of neck holding a fucking magnum 30 feet away from the target anyway: that line of being all about marksmanship and the best materials is mostly BS it's about feeling powerful and unstoppable with a firearm, not about defense, not about hunting, not about sport. It's a power trip.

How about people just do things in moderation for once. Smoking is just fine as long as you don;t smoke 20 a day. Why can't people just have some restraint and smoke maybe 1 a day or smoke 1 a week.

That's demonstrably false: Less damaging and lethal cannot be stretched to mean "just fine"

While I don't smoke anything, nor claim to be any sort of connaisseur,

I assume that vaping is safe (from my understanding of how E-cig works), but ultimately it depends what crap you put in it to vape.

 

If I am not mistaken the first cigarettes where like cigars (just chop up in peaces, and made small), but it is all the extra crap that they started to put in there to make it more addicting that makes it more dangerous. I expect E-cig to follow suit, especially those with Nicotine in them.

All things considered I think cigarettes could be classified as intentionally lethal - the effects are well known but they are sold regardless.

the problem with e-cigs (if I'm not mistaken) is that since the whole point is to provide nicotin and that nicotin has to be vapourized, at some point in the process of heating it carcinogen substances are produced.

That's great news, kids think it's cool. In my opinion, the only people who should be using E-cigs are those that are trying to quit smoking tobacco.
