goodbye Catalyst Control Center, hello Radeon Sofware

what the hell are you talking about!? did you even looked over the pictures I posted? did you noticed anything that CCC wasn't capable of doing before?

even comparing to the original ATi Control Panel, CCC bought very little in terms of new functions - assuming you actually owned a ATi powered graphics card to know what I'm talking about

the main difference ATi Control Panel had over CCC was the use of .Net Framework

And maybe there's a reason for that. There's nothing which I've ever needed to do with an AMD card which I haven't been able to do with CCC.

Perhaps you could inform us all of these apparent missing features from CCC which you'd liked to have seen in this new version.

Perhaps you'd like functionality which is similar to GFE? Oh wait, no that can't be it because GFE is shit so what exactly were you expecting from this release which is missing? What exactly is it you can do in Nvidia CP which is missing from CCC?

I have a proposal for everyone, whenever Zmuel makes a topic about AMD it should be auto locked, like Cat should write a script which straight up detects all topics by Zmuel with the word 'AMD' in and auto lock them.

Even when they do something which is positive and necessary you still put a negative spin on it.

Answer this question to yourself and answer it truthfully, if it was Nvidia who released a redesigned driver control panel and you reported that would your topic still have negative connotations?

I have a proposal to everyone if you have a problem with the thread just report and SHUT THE FUCK.

The GUI looks nice but I may install my 240 in and see how it is.

F**k this VR/ AR nonsense already. How about something useful? I want official radeonpro features in their new "control panel" (I don't care what they call it). I want the ability to apply AO (HBAO) to games. I want supersampling on transparent textures as well. (currently forcing these things in the CCC doesn't seem to work at all) VSR with resolutions higher than 2560x1600 on 16:10 as well. (currently I cant go higher than that) AND the dynamic v-sync (adaptive v-sync) that I can't live without.

since you buried you head so deep in the sand you can't recall you own posts, I'll quote you:

Maybe AMDs driver team have been busy with this redesign and now that its finished they will concentrate on releasing a stable driver more often than they do currently.

? What exactly is it you can do in Nvidia CP which is missing from CCC?

Why would AMD have to wait for Nvidia to do something ?

Quite right NVIDIA has been horrible lately, worst part was that post witcher 3 driver slump. They said "GL 980ti owners. "

I don't see why people are still taking zMeul's posts seriously. He's clearly not grown mentally past the age of twelve. They're not useful for anything more than a good laugh.

Not been paying attention, am I missing something?

LOL!

Nothing important. Just has it in his head that his constant shit posting on AMD is somehow gonna make them crash and burn. Something to do with his desire to get revenge because his AMD card died or something that majority of people couldn't care less about.

Well they still haven't patched non OEM versions of CCC to support multi GPU laptop-2x dGPU in my DV6 3010AX (HD4250 with 256MB dedicated, and HD5650 with 1GB dedicated). Though in Ubuntu, 1 desktop runs off the HD4250, and the other off the HD5650.

I really like CCC but I do see room for improvement. Hopefully this is just that.

Always room for improvement. 15.10 has been great for me so far.

back in the day, ATi had a thing going - monthly driver updates .. it's gone

back in the day the drivers were also awful and actually needed those monthly updates. fortunately, that's gone.

I like the redesign, but I don't really care as long as it works.

Don't ask to ask, just ask... please 🤨

Atleast "crimson" doesn't sound as edgy as "fury"

I don't understand why everything needs a cool and edgy name.

Because its better to have cool than uncool name like Ubisoft. I heard AMD considered naming the software Clint but they thought that the software cant pull off that name.
