I like how LTT and others on the forum feel the need to give back once in awhile but it really makes me mad when I see hundreds of 1 post no profile picture people who joined just to be entered. I am sure Linus likes it because it boosts the number of members but they probably will comment once and they are done. They should make a rule that requires either, certain date, profile picture, or number of posts. This way you have loyal LTT fans instead of a random person who makes the odds worse and doesn't even know who Linus is.

I like how LTT and others on the forum feel the need to give back once in awhile but it really makes me mad when I see hundreds of 1 post no profile picture people who joined just to be entered. I am sure Linus likes it because it boosts the number of members but they probably will comment once and they are done. They should make a rule that requires either, certain date, profile picture, or number of posts. This way you have loyal LTT fans instead of a random person who makes the odds worse and doesn't even know who Linus is.

For every youtube channel that you follow, are you part of their forums? do you still want a chance to win their giveaways? yeah. 

 

 

edit: yeah i see where your coming from, but just wanted people to keep in mind, that you can be a huge fan without being part of a fourm. I love foxbody mustangs. to no end. The giveaways are for the Youtube viewers, not just members of the forum.

Not everybody who watches Linus likes forums, but they sure as hell want to enter a giveaway.

There will always be more people who lurk rather than post and just because they don't post doesn't mean that they don't read the forums or watch the videos. A giveaway forces someone to create an account, which brings them a step closer to start posting. I was one of those people who started off as a lurker, made an account for a giveaway, and then slowly started to post after that. Remember, only people who pay attention to the videos or forums are going to even know about any giveaways.

Nope, I didn't join because of a giveaway. I joined to help with an argument about Apple (sigh). Although I do notice that lots of people join because of giveaways.

 

But yes, I do get annoyed when a one-post-wonder wins the giveaway and never checks back....
