My new laptop arrived yesterday.  I didn't have a ton of cash so I had to cut a few corners, but this is the first time having either a quadcore CPU and discrete GPU, so I'm excited.  I'm coming from a 17" screen, so everything seems really small lol.

That is the oddest looking fan I have ever seen (on the CPU cooler ofc).

Canned air is a rippoff mate. My dad got a 20 pack of microfiber towels for just a little more and I've been using the same towel to dust off my PC for almost a year (y'know because outside is a thing and a washing machine).

 

And for those hard to reach places, I have my dad's 220 gallon air compressor.

I wanted to upgrade my PC but I had trouble finding a CPU that would double my performance to make it worth an upgrade. I wound up settling on a build based on these two items.

This is 50 bucks right now and you can use it a hell of a lot more for multiple things compared to less than a gallon of canned air for 20 bucks.

That's 3 gallons, compared to 220 gallon one you have.

 

I have an air compressor that I use to clean out computers.  It saves money if you do it regularly, but if you don't have a big one then it's a huge pain in the ass.  You have to wait 10 minutes for it to fill up, then you have about 30 seconds of air.

I was using an example... I don't expect that everyone has a dad who legitimately needs an air compressor as massive as ours... And on that note of waiting, most air compressors are able to at least provide enough pressure to do the proper thing and go in bursts while cleaning...

But..But I love my little 3650....I know I love a trashy CPU but.....Its my first CPU to get me into gaming, Its not that bad ;-;. The speed is tolerable and for the most part it does its job amazingly. Why do you hate it?

The fact that I got a Sempron 145 with the extra core unlocked to keep pace with it OC'd and the fact that the GPU is just weird with how it decides to perform is what makes me dislike it. Though her PC was my first "modern" taste of gaming, so I mean it does have that going for it at least.

Yeah...Alot of things outperform it, but it is my gateway to modern gaming and that's why I love it. Its not that bad though to be honest. I just dont have high expectations at all. Also yeah the IGPU preforms like trash under catalyst yet does fine under crimson. Just odd (although I have a 730 so no issues there). Does help to have a slight OC to the poor thing. I might just upgrade the machine to an A8 3850 as it super dirt cheap at this point.

I personally wouldn't bother upgrading it to an A8 as you really won't see much of a boost in CPU performance with it (the A8 is only around 7-10% faster in synthetic benchmarks).
