How much Vcore do you run on your 8700k? I haven't been able to get mine stable over 4.8 GHz no matter what I do to it :/ it can run 4.8 at like 1.25Vcore, I've only pushed up to 1.32 Vcore on it because temps were getting uncomfortably hot (that was before I delided it) but it still wouldn't run past 4.8GHz. I've read that you can run up to 1.4Vcore on the 8700k daily with out issues, but going beyond that is risky for daily use.

I am running a vCore of 1.35V, Idle at 32C (room at 21C) and FAH set to 10 cores but using all 12 to 100% at 69C.  Max HWMon temp of 76c in the last 24h.
The de-lid accounted for a 23C drop in CPU idle temps, and a 10C drop in max temps while moving from 5.0-5.2GHz and that is with a Kraken X62.

If you want to know more message me as this is getting little off topic for this thread I think.  I am new here and not wanting to derail a thread.

Thank you for your suggestions. I have dial back to stock freq for now to see how it go, probably have to do some cooler cleaning too. Sitting around 65-75C on load now, which I guess is reasonable for long sustain load like this. Shouldn't have push that far when i only have a hyper T4.

Ooooh yeah, running that high of an OC under a hyper T4 and putting it under this kind of workload is a recipe for a cooked CPU lol

Has anyone else been having issues where they've successfully completed a work unit and uploaded it but not received any credit for it? For those work units the logs are also showing an estimate of only the base credit (no QRB). Is that an error with the server receiving the work unit or something?

Neither of these have been credited at all.

Has happened to me twice in the last 24 hours. Different work units, different collection server. They both came from the same work server: 40.114.51.201 which failed to receive the completed work units before it got redirected to a different collection server.

Could it be because they're failing to upload to the work server and are going to the collection server instead?

I'm having issues submitting project #11776 as well.

What error message are you getting in the logs when it tries to send it? (pop the logs in a code tag or spoiler tag)

Just asked Linus on his Beat Saber stream about the WU server and they’re hoping to get the server configured tomorrow then disassemble and do the video on Thursday!

Fingers crossed that it gets deployed by the end of the week and WU problems will be less bad for the weekend.

@Spotty Got an idea for this glitch?

@GOTSpectrum Hey, at this rate I'll be on top! lol

Well, something glitched in the advanced control. Everything in the log is normal.

This is a Core 2 Duo laptop and it just keeps going up. It's now at 194130887.

Edit: We are now pushing 1.1 Billion PPD. Screw it, I knew Intel was holding out with Core 2.

I just completed a 11776 work unit as well and that is also now stuck on trying to send.

The server it's trying to upload to 40.114.52.201 is now showing as offline.

image.thumb.png.15c3b9784e3d1925b35f06ededc1ac12.png

Looks like the server has only recently gone down in the last hour or two as I recently checked it and it was online, though with only 2 hours of up time so it may have had issues prior to that as well.

Server Status is showing it as online currently with 2 hours of uptime, but it was a few hours ago since my last one failed to upload to it so it's possible (and likely) it was down at the time it tried to send the results back.

Once the server comes back online it should send the results. Let's hope it isn't offline for too long.

The reason it's showing a ridiculously high PPD estimate is because your TPF (Time Per Fold) is showing as 0.01 seconds. TPF is part of the equation for determining the estimated PPD.

Quote

PPD is calculated as follows:

PPD = 14.4 * base_points * max(1, sqrt( 14.4 * k * Expiration / TPF)) / TPF
Note that TPF is in minutes, in decimal form, not time format.

https://foldingathome.org/support/faq/stats-teams-usernames/

Now as for why your work unit is stuck on 99.9% and not completing, that I do not know. If there's nothing abnormal in the logs then I'm not sure what could be happening.

Try pausing/unpausing? Restarting the client?

Has anyone else been having issues where they've successfully completed a work unit and uploaded it but not received any credit for it? For those work units the logs are also showing an estimate of only the base credit (no QRB). Is that an error with the server receiving the work unit or something?

Neither of these have been credited at all.

Has happened to me twice in the last 24 hours. Different work units, different collection server. They both came from the same work server: 40.114.51.201 which failed to receive the completed work units before it got redirected to a different collection server.

Could it be because they're failing to upload to the work server and are going to the collection server instead?

That has happened in the past for the exact reason you noted. You will get credited eventually for the QRB but it may take some time as last time they had to take the servers off-Line to run the queries to fix it.

@leadeater got some ridiculous amount of points that day
