As you may know I will be using the TJ11 for this build but it needs some work. I have removed everything from the inside as I plan to some things custom made for the case. As well as scrapping everything I have also redone the power buttons. The original ones were fine but they had a blue led which wouldn't suit the build so I went down to Jaycar and picked up these two illuminated momentary switches. They have a red led ring around the button which will suit what I plan to do with the outside of the case. The hole from the stock switch was too small for the new switches so using a 19mm drill bit I was able to extend the hole just enough to fit in the new switches. The red ring switches look so much better than the stock ones.

    Build Title - TOXIC CHROME
    Thread URL - http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/343799-toxic-chrome-modded-corsair-250d
Description - I would like to enter my TOXIC CHROME Corsair 250D build! Fully custom watercooled 250D with the idea behind it being to fit as much watercooling gear as I could while keeping things nice and clean. With two reservoirs inside, two radiators and watercooling on the CPU, GPU and RAM, all with PETG tubing, I think the build came out very clean and definitely packed full of watercooling gear. Some of the mods done to the build, which are all by hand, are 3 custom window panels, different mountings inside the case as well as the awesome custom front panel. Have a look for yourself and let me know what you think!

ClownFace1511 reacted to leadeater in Seagate STDE300 vs QNAP Ts-251
For me I would always go with QNAP. I trust their products a lot and have used them widely. But only having 2 bays is rather limiting. You will have to way up what your data requirements are and if 6TB/8TB of usable space is enough (RAID 1).

I can't really say anything about Seagate NAS products since I've never used them but I would rate QNAP as a higher tier of product. This may not mean anything for your use case though so don't read too much in to it. Check reviews and make sure their are no common problems with the Seagate's.

What i would recommend doing is running verifier. This will blue screen your computer when it finds something wrong with the drivers.

Scroll down to the second reply and follow the steps: http://www.sevenforums.com/bsod-help-support/142907-bsod-using-verifier-exe.html

I have used this on systems before and it works really well. Once you blue screen take note of the error code, also download BlueScreenView and it will open the bluescreen dump file. From there the errors will be highlighted in red. Type those errors into google to find a solution and it should fix your problems. This is a lengthy process but if you do it correctly it will work.

Also run cmd as admin and type in sfc /scannow . See if that will come up with any errors. From what it sounds like you probably have some bad drivers.

After 2 days of hard work Project: Ravage reached it's final form! As you will see in the up coming pictures I added some more vents to the side of the table for some air intake for the new rad. Pretty messy job and can't compare to the CNC ones that I made initially but they look alright. The Samsung 950 512gb has been installed and i'm currently working on installing everything on it. I decided to install win 10 on and and have disabled most of the windows 10 features. With the introduction of the extra rad, max cpu temps have dropped by close to 20C which is crazy. So far i'm loving the upgrade and the translucent EK UV blue is growing on me. Project: Ravage is finally done (table wise). Ill be working on my setup but i'm off to uni in 2 weeks so ill see how that goes. Without further adieu, here are the temps and images.

BlueScreenView will show you the errors, hopefully its 1 or 2 issues. Once you fix those something else may arise. Hopefully once you fix the first issues you should be fine. Once you think you have fixed everything leave verifier running for a few days and see what happens. If its not triggering then open verifier back up and choose the option to delete all settings.

    It should work out.

ClownFace1511 reacted to dtaflorida in Is the Logitech G710 worth it?
I have a G710. The breaking keycaps issue was resolved at the end of 2014. There's still ppl complaining about that, but Logitech have a longer warranty than most for keyboards and with 3 years, all the ppl referencing that are either reading old reviews and complaints, are either too lazy to file a claim, or have already moved on to a different keyboard and didn't care to know that Logitech support their products (They'd have sent you an entire NEW one so you don't have to change the caps yourself!).

At $90 for the G710 and $100 for the G710+ I'd say it's just out of the range of being worth it.
It's worth it for about $70 or less, $80 max. I got mine for $50 on Black Friday.

They're both good laptops, but since you are worried about screen scaling let me tell you about my personal experience with high resolution screens.

I had a surface pro 3 for about a year, and in that year if there was one complaint I had it was that <insert bad word> screen. I cannot tell you how many programs didn't scale correctly or had blurry text. I don't know if it was windows or the programs, but it was annoying.

Now don't get me wrong the high res experience is unreal, movies looked amazing and so did webpages, just be prepared to wait a while for those scaling issues to be fixed. I think Linus mentioned this in his review of the Aorus.

As he mentioned getting that 3K screen might be a worthy investment, but ultimately it will be your choice.

As you may know if you have been following this build log the mayhem pastel blue liquid that I put in at first kinda just crapped itself. Knowing that I had to replace the fluid I though it would be a good opportunity to fix up the water cooling loop. Temps have been a bit high and the drainage wasn't really the best so i decided to buy a new rad, liquid and also some quick disconnects to spice up the loop a bit. Hopefully be able to add this stuff in soon but i'm waiting for some more goodies, plus this wont be an easy upgrade, I need to redo about 2-3 tubes and add in another rad so its gonna take time.

You are probably maxing out your cpu usage so therefore its going to heat up. 98C is really pushing it. I'd suggest getting like a hyper 212x cpu cooler. You can pick one up for about $30 and it will drop your temps down to 60-70 if your lucky. I'd ditch the stock cooler if I was you because those temps will hurt your cpu in the long run.

^Do that. I have a 212 Evo at the moment, and even while rendering for 4 hrs+ I never reach over 52c.
