Mick Naughty got a reaction from Didarul Hossain Rafi in 144hz monitor , worth it ???
Anything is better than 60/75.
Everything being and feeling smoother is well worth it.
But some people claim they can’t notice the difference. So if you aren’t that attuned, it may not be worth it.

Mick Naughty got a reaction from Ariz Zakwan in Screen not showing up at 240hz
I’d prolly try a regular cable in which it’s designed for. My monitor can do 240 on the right hdmi port or display port but I don’t use adapters.

I’d just build a system that wouldn’t leak. Much easier.

Mick Naughty got a reaction from lenwer5o in Help!! Used Titan black vs new gtx 1650 super for Premiere
Is that 230usd? Thats quite alot for one given the time. Plenty 1080's to be had for 250 or 1070's for 200. Both of with will be better to edit with at least in my case editing with 2 of each but use case may prove to be different.

Mick Naughty got a reaction from bowrilla in Why radiator on the Intake and not Exhaust?
Its a tiny box. Doesnt really matter overall. Just comes down to priorities. Like if you did it the right way but having it on the top as exhaust and use a blower card. Both get fresh air and wont compromise each other. Or use an open air cooler if thats your thing. Thus putting the gpu above the cpu as you should. Gpu lowers its clocks way before a cpu ever will.

Mick Naughty got a reaction from jones177 in i7-8700k OC Help
Looks normal for aio stuff. I dont care for stress tests temps. Only real world matters to me.

Mick Naughty got a reaction from lairiak in Erratic and unnatural GPU usage on RTX 2060 Super, please help
Should prolly watch the actual gpu tab to see specific gpu usage. Not sure why any of this would be a concern what so ever.
Aslong as it’s 99% under 3d while gaming on anything that isn’t optimized like crap.

Mick Naughty got a reaction from StDragon in Where can I get thermal pads for gpu??
I tend to use amazon or eBay.
Should be fine if it fits requirements for thickness.

Mick Naughty got a reaction from e22big in How does GPU overclock with Boost 3.0 works?
I just let mine boost as they run cool enough to hit max boost. I don’t oc my cards as there isn’t a gain worth the heat that would I turn lower the clock.
Not worth 2-3 frames in my case.
Mine stop boosting around the 39-42c range so going lower isn’t gaining me much. And the hotter it gets the more steps I lose.
All but my 1080ti boost to 2000 and they can all oc to 2100+ range.
Do which ever makes you happy.

Mick Naughty got a reaction from Bombastinator in GPU clock problem with dual screens
Sounds normal. You can use nvidia inspector and force multi display power saver. But if the card gets limited to much it can become unstable cause display issues.
Best to let it do what it needs, no adverse effects, usage is still low as well as temps.

Mick Naughty got a reaction from Mateyyy in Someone please help me i think im dead
You must have never bought or seen a noctua fan. They don’t come with metal bits for attaching to heat sinks. That’s the cpu cooler you are thinking of and you failed to mention. I have bought 15 noctua fans and they don’t come with that. Specificity is key here.

Mick Naughty got a reaction from Kilrah in Is it possible to max out 1080p at 120Hz ? I need GPU advice.
If you do get stronger cards, that cpu will never keep up, doubt it does now.

Mick Naughty got a reaction from Crunchy Dragon in Elgato 4K60 PRO taking load off GPU for encoding?
Its a capture card, not an encoder. Doesn't take load off anything unless you are having something else do it. Also the encoder isn't putting load on the card. Use the gpu unless you have a much better cpu that can spare the power.

See them for for over a 100 on 6gb models. I wouldn’t go lower than that myself. $140 is a good start. Room for talk down.

Mick Naughty got a reaction from Eighjan in Connecting GTX 1080 using two six pin adapters?
Just plug the 6+2 pin from the psu into the card. If it’s just an 8 pin version. Do not use the adapter as it doesn’t look like you need it. Especially the way you’re using it.

Mick Naughty got a reaction from Haro in GTX 1660Ti / 1660 VS GTX 1080 Encoding Bandwidth
That kinda sucks. Was hoping to swap mine for one. Figured their new fancy encoder would be worth it. Thanks for the info.

Assuming you are doing hardline it’s not bad.

Mick Naughty got a reaction from Sin Stalker in Should a GTX 1080 give >144hz in Apex Legends?
Well you can change the task manager to per core. Then turn the report rate to slow and just check in mid game or something.
