I happen to own the soldering iron mentioned. It works great, even after 6 years of owning it, has interchangeable tips (though only one is included) and it's small enough to packed in a small-ish electronics repair kit. I highly recommend it to any soldering beginner looking to take their skills far before needing an upgrade to a more advanced control station.
As for solder I personally use lead free tin/silver solder though you can use lead based solder if you accept the inherent health risks. Any brand will do just fine as they are all pretty much identical.

Tinning flux helps solder flow properly in a joint and helps the solder adhere to the metal. It makes joints a lot more secure but with the proper technique (especially on smaller joints) you don't need it. Rosin core solder has the tinning flux in the core which eliminates the need to buy it separately but tends to be thicker than other solder. 
I recommend the following: For large joints use tinning flux or rosin core solder, especially if the joint will be under a lot of strain. For smaller joints like on PCBs use very thin solder to increase your level of control and don't bother with the flux.

There are pretty thin rosin core solders out there I personally use this stuff from MG Chemicals works like a charm compared to silver solder I've used before. This is only 0.032" (0.81mm) in diameter:

For transparent colored fluids I would recommend Mayhem's X1 or EKWB EVO fluid, both them will have all the needed additives for the loop. 

What voltage are you running at on your 5820K? Also, I'm not sure the H90 would be a huge uprgade, I would suggest the NZXT X41 over the H90, since the X41 has a thicker radiator that would yield better performance.

With that 990FX board you will be able to overclock the 1100T quite well, so your system life will be extended depending on how well your chip does.

D5 at the lowest setting will please all be the "freak 'o nature" silence enthusiasts. 
Get a vibration dampening mount.

The red sections on the reference cooler are molded all at once making it on solid piece so they are not separable from the looks go things so you will need to mask it off for painting. I have a guide here under the GPU Painting, note images and layout are still updating:

Pressure fans work great in both push or pull, but do tend to be marginally better in push compared to pull since most times they don't make a good seal around rads or heatsinks so not all the air is drawn through the fins.

You have to "mix" the colors. Turn the green knob off, turn the red all the way up, and turn up the blue until you get pink.

No, because the heat is not being removed from the water, so your CPU would eventually overheat.

That was my point I was under the impression that you thought the EVGA cooling solution had no relation to the MSI + Corsair one.
