About 5 hours i started getting a fever and getting sick. Drove myself to the ER. Ive now been admitted in to the ICU as my liver is failing and will most likely be in need of a transplant. I have family flying in to be with me but ill be manly enough to say im beyond scared. This will probably be my last post for awhile. But i will try and keep you updated. Im wearing my lucky hat

My liver might be saved after all, showing very small signs of improvement. I have to drink this unholy smelling liquid every 4 hours for 28 doses rip my breath

Well if its any consolation, the liver is the fastest regenerating organ in the body. It would take full liver failure for the whole thing to die, if some of it is still alive and healthy it will gradually regenerate the rest.

My sister has been in the hospital for months now due to cancer treatments (she's been responding well and now goes only a few times a week for chemo), so I can understand what this must be like. Distractions are important. It's not so much about avoiding reality as much as it is taking reality in doses.
