PatXioPC reacted to trag1c in Rgb lights strips
Depends on the strips. Are they PWM control or serial bus control (as in WS2812b or APA102). If they're PWM control you will need mosfets and a power supply as @DevBlox stated. This is because you're using the duty cycle to change the power or brightness of the LEDS. If they're serial bus then all you need is a power supply with leads going to both the strip and board + signal lines.

PatXioPC got a reaction from rice guru in Do I need an AMP
Yeah, def a good AMP would bring the most out of those headphones. But If I were you, I would first buy the headphones and try them bare first, then maybe if I had a store that would offer some decent AMPs, go there and do a blind test with and without it. After that, the conclusion is subjective.

Btw, what primary purpose are you planning to use those headphones anyway? Professional music production work or just listening to music or gaming?

And do you happen to know the impedance of the headphone?

I've been using the m50x for about 2 years now. And well, some audiophiles will say it's just a piece of extremely overhyped equipment and I would agree to a very small degree. But I don't think it's bad for this price point though.

The best thing about these are the highs and treble and for the mids, I think not the most even but still good. It's pretty good for monitoring audio or vocals. The bass is kind of overpowering which is the thing I don't like about this. But when you're using an EQ to personalize the frequency ranges according to your preference, it becomes way better for listening to music.

The m40x is flatter which some people may like or hate.

But the worst thing about the m50x is its comfort. You 're probably not gonna wear them for too long especially if you live in a hot environment.

If the thermal paste you buy comes with one of these, return it and buy better paste. These aren't necessary in 2019 unless you're using crappy paste that won't spread on its own.

Request another RMA, including that picture. That's going to cause you problems down the line.

RMA that one too. If the RMA department is halfway decent they'll honor it since it's very clearly fucko'd.

Send it back and document it. Send that pic to the RMA/Support team for that brand. It probably still works though... but get another one.

The last thing you want is for that to develop into some issue, and you have to do a separate RMA.

PatXioPC got a reaction from TH3R34P3R in System Upgrade
If currently, all you do is gaming, you probably wanna step up your GPU. It will be a big difference since you don't have the hardware that will potentially bottleneck it. Now if you don't have a monitor that runs higher than 60hz, it might not be worth it.

With all VRM phases and duty limits maxed out and with proper cooling, my 2700x draws 110A with 170watt peak output. And let me tell you, I'm not overclocking with custom multiplier but letting PBO do its things.

Ok so you are suffering from using a manual VCORE.  Definitely switch it up to a negative offset.  All my cores show 4.35GHz as their max achieved speed.

That could also be caused by having a value greater thatn 50% for minimum processor state in your current Windows power plan.  A value higher than 50% will prevent the CPU from reaching all its p-states which prevents the CPU from reaching its highest single core speeds.  You can use any power plan you'd like as long as minimum processor state is set below 50%.  I use Ultimate Performance and minimum processor state 20%.

PatXioPC got a reaction from Taf the Ghost in RAM for Ryzen 5 2600 and Gigabyte B450M
Yes, very likely. Depending on your Motherboard's memory topology traces, 4 DIMMs (2 DIMM/channel) will clock a lot lower compared to what you will get out of just 2. Just get 2 8gig DIMMs and you will be good to go.

And also, you might wanna check that the sticks you're going to get are not dual rank because you might get lower clocks that way too.

PatXioPC reacted to Bouzoo in You thought GTX 1060 was confusing? You've seen nothing. Enter RTX 2060 and 6 variants of the same card
Apparently there are gonna be 3 versions of RTX 2060 cards, with 3, 4 and 6GB of VRAM. Even better, each one of those will have GDDR5 and GDDR6 variants. So what are welooking at? New hell for consumers.

According to videocardz (this is only GIgabyte, so 1 OEM, 39 CARDS!!!!!):

Not a lot to say except what the hell is this supposed to be? Imagine if they introduce the GDDR5X and 10/11 Gbps variants. We may end up with 9 or 12 cards. Jesus Christ, someone actually got paid to come up with those naming schemes and even worse, with the product(s).
