jasonwj322a reacted to dizmo in Do I buy a proper chair or a monitor?
Ooo decisions decisions. What are you doing with your laptop? Can it even run games on an ultrawide screen? Or do you just need the extended real estate for something else?
Personally, I'd go with the chair, however check out eBay. I was buying Herman Miller open box chairs and selling them for a profit. I think they were about $350US? Very good deals. Granted you have to watch for a while, as they might not have your size, but they'll pop up eventually. Both of these can last you through many builds, so I fully support investing in quality units.
He wasn't looking at a flashy "racer" chair. *shudder*
He wasn't considering one. He's looking at high quality ergonomic chairs.
If you've never used one, you don't know what you're missing.
Eh, debatable. Like most things, you spend more, you get a higher quality unit. Higher end chairs are actually designed with proper posture, support, and a rock solid build.

Look at something like a Samsung C24F390FHU. 2500:1 (IPS panels are 1200:1 max) contrast VA panel, with decent colors and a price that won't break the bank.

It also means you can put that money on a quality panel instead of higher pixeldensity. Look for a nice VA or IPS panel that boasts a nice color production and contrast.

jasonwj322a got a reaction from Mooshi in $250 for used Sony MDR 1000X? Good deal?
Im not sure, I saw some used Sennheiser momentum 2.0 wireless over ear for around $270 last year. But then again these (Sony) should have a better resale value then them.
$250 I get the headphones and all the accessories (cables and others) but not the box. What do you guys think? These go for $350-$400 brand new so I'm getting at least a $100 off.
Really need some help right now.

Chromebook is totally different though. It's software and hardware is much different than a typical Windows device

jasonwj322a got a reaction from Freezanator in Help in choosing my first smartphone EVER
Have you consider a refurbished Galaxy s7 or s6? If not I'd do some research. Out of the 3 you chose I'd pick the One Plus, second choice would be the iPhone. Just be upfront with her about it being a good phone. You can try to explain her the specs in a way she would understand. Another option is just explain to her about One Plus, maybe show her videos on reviews?
With the iphone you really lose a lot of usability. Android allows much more and since this is your first phone I'd pick an Android to make the experience the fullest.
Anyway good luck on your phone! Hope you enjoy which ever one you choose.

From my understanding it is too, guess I'll skip on it. You can get a near max XPS 15 with that price.
