Is 10% CPU usage normal when browsing the web?

I dont think it is and my battery doesnt last long so any help would be appreciated. I have the 7th gen laptop core i7.

I usually have around 10 tab open using chrome or opera. Don't know if there are some background programs but by checking task manger things dont seem to be drawing much. You guys know any programs that can help me check on that?

1p percent isn't weird. Sounds like you have a relatively new laptop, should last a while in battery. You know you can choose a power saving profile somewhere in Windows power settings?

Does you mum know you're here?

10% is normal for anything.

Damn really? Its burning through my battery though. I have the Dell XPS 15 9560 with the 4k screen. Im currently getting around 4 hours doing basic web browsing. People are reporting around 6-8 hours on this computer doing the same thing (also with 4k screen)

When in battery power I usually use Opera to save battery. Dont see any other issue other than CPU usage.

Get an SSD. Hopefully if it's the disk working the battery.

Really dont lile edge which is why Ive been using Opera. It has a battery saving feature that helps.

This is really worrying me seeing other people getting a lot more usage. Thought CPU usage was the problem but guess 10%~ is the norm. Great to have that info.
