yup server gaming rig will cost way more than buying individual pcs. plus all pc parts have problem or fails at some point. if u build a server gaming lounge ur whole business will be on hold if a single parts fail

i think u have reached limit. the new 580 clocks to 1450-60mhz. so i think u have reached a very good oc for a 480. but if u want to push more u can aslong as its stable..increase by 5mhz and stress test. the thing is pushing the card too much may not be worth it...the performance increase is minimal, power efficiency flies out of the window, heat and noise level increase exponentially..the extra 20-30 mhz is not worth it.

Hunter06 got a reaction from Gamer Guy in How to calculate performance per dollar of various prpcessors?
nope the score will vary with the graphics card used. u can use that method while doing gpu benchmarking not cpu. pure cpu workload like cinabench score can be used to grade a cpu based on performance per dollar but thats not a good representation of gaming scenario. theoretiacally a super power gpu setup like titan sli can be used to remove gpu bottleneck and benchmark the game on low resolution like 720p/1080p but it will still not be as accurate representation as seen on gpu performance per dollar because games vary widely on cpu usage..ie some games prefer clockspeed, some prefers no of cores, some prefer overall cpu horsepower or in some  games an i3 doesnot even bottleneck a titan at 1080p as they require very little cpu power

what would you say is better? :

    - Gaming on your 21.5'' 1080p monitor
    - Gaming on a 6'' 1080p smart phone

...there you go. Bigger = Better especially if they cost about the same.

(27'' for 1080p is pushing it...i've seen it and it's kinda ugly...but 24'' is perfectly fine at 1080p i use two 24'' 1080p monitor for work at the office and it's fine and i used to game on a 24'' 1080p monitor and it was fine...nowhere near as good and nice as my current 1440p 27'' monitor, but certainly better than a 21'' 1080p monitor.)

reviewers running benchmarks at 2933 or close to 3000hz. thats fast enough for almost everything. no performance gain can be seen even if ram runs faster than that. the real issue was low ipc and lack of optimization for zen architecture- which is understandable ..the hardware is new .
if u only game 7700 no question.
but if u also render or something then ryzen because ryzen will come very close in gaming (that resolution will also help)

dont throw away or sell the i3..first upgrade the bios..check if the bios supports kabylake. then buy the 7500..put it in the mobo. see if it runs..stress test it. then throw away or do whatever with the i3. there should not be any problem

Hunter06 got a reaction from i_build_nanosuits in i watched Ryzen reviews all morning...and, i'm disapointed with it!
doubt it. the 1800x clocks at 4.1 max with single core enabled. the lower core count will maybe reach 4.2. the performance per core is just lower than intel.
and gamer nexus review showed even when a game uses all 8 core like watchdogs intel architecture was much faster.
i was really hoping ryzen will kick intel in the nuts..but atleast in the gaming market doesnt look like it will happen

Since it seems to overclock like complete ass you might want to go for the 1700x for the higher clockrates.
