TikTok is owned and ran by the commies, that should clear things up. Really if they get banned, I don't care if people get upset.

Just get some arctic p12's and call it a day. Better fans than the thermalrights whilst being as quiet as the noctua's. No reason to spend heaps on slightly better noctua fans really.

The other options aren't bad either but the arctics are simply just as good if not a smidge better (the noctua's are the best but only by a bit).

Just a tip from someone that has done custom water loops many times.

    Just

    Don't

Terrible value, holds no value, costly, cumbersome, often maintenance needed, the fancier the looks the shittier the products and higher the price, don't use opaque liquids they ruin the blocks and whole loop, don't mix metals or get metals that are only plated they will wear down and mix, hardline sucks to install, HORRIBLE to upgrade your system,...

The only reason is for looks or for ultimate silence. But for option 2 you can just run a cable from a different room for a lot less money. For quietness you just need BIGGGGGGGGG and MANY rads really + a high end silent pump. Very unwieldy systems then.

A for looks loop is always SHIT to maintain because the easiest and best loops are the black tube simple no fancy no bullshit stuff that doesn't look wow 😛

what case clearance do you have?

Generally right now the Peerless Assassin 120 SE is a go-to, due to it's super low cost and absurd performance.

Used ryzen 3600(x) or 5600(x) for the equivalent of ~50$ or ~80$ so probs somewhere around 70cad and 110cad respectively

Pair with a new B450m pro4 r2.0 cause its at used pricing whilst being new and a decent midranger board thatll clock 4 sticks decently so you can drop in another 16gb kit and run at 3200-3800 depending on ic

StarsMars reacted to Somerandomtechyboi in Should I sell my 5600x?
Might aswell just so you have an upgrade path, just the ram and cpus are abit expensive but boards wise the b650m hdv is already more than what most ppl need and thats supposed to be an "entry" level board even though the vrms will handle an overclocked 7950x

Pretty much why you dont build overtime and buy in 1 go, also that 5600x is probs only worth 100-120cad used if not less, yeah am4 is dirt cheap used especally used b3/450

Depends on the game but certainly nothing to hold you back from going through with it. You'll game just fine, this issue is massively overblown and really affects people with much more severe discrepancies in CPU/GPU power. Think 10400 and a 4090 @ 1080p.

StarsMars reacted to WereCat in Bottleneck check
Will vary wildly from game to game. My 3900X was holding back my 3060ti in some CPU intensive games at 1440p while being more than enough in GPU intensive games.
And what I mean by "holding back" is that I got only around 60-90FPS instead of 120FPS+.

Yea get the 5800x3d. The bottleneck wouldn't be horrible, but will definitely be noticeable. You will still get decent fps though if u stick with the 3700x. Wouldn't recommend though.

They're like $60-70 every other month or so. This has been the sales price for a VERY long time. Like a decade. Note the slick deals link. They pop up on Amazon, at costco, etc.
These speakers are a total rip off at $120.

Best Buy sales prices are not necessarily "real" they're just making up numbers.

There is a Klipsch 2.1 heritage line that's supposed to be better that's around $200 or so. I haven't looked into it too much.

Kind of the "in the middle" part is one of the edifiers on sale for around $100ish and MAYBE a budgety subwoofer added on.

    ---

As far as "good sound" is concerned, $200ish for speakers is about as cheap as it gets to be "good" and around $300 for a subwoofer. Going much higher than that gets you into diminishing returns territory and going much below has notable tradeoffs.

Used gear is often the solution since GOOD speakers will last 20-50 years in most cases. These things are not like computers, they LAST. Worst case scenario you're swapping a capacitor.

It's a little harsh of me to call it crappy.
The subwoofer included in the ProMedia system does its job of putting out.. noise at the correct sub-bass frequencies but that's it. It is in no way representative of how bass should sound.

At $200, it's an extremely tight budget if you want to buy everything brand new, and you won't get a subwoofer, but will still have a pathway to purchasing one in the future because the following options have a "Pre-Out" for subwoofer connection.

    Speaker Amplifier options:
    - Fosi Audio V3 for $90

    - Fosi Audio BT20A for $90-$100

    - Loxjie A30 for $170 (includes DAC/headphone amp)
    https://www.amazon.com/LOXJIE-MA12070-Headphone-Amplifier-Bluetooth/dp/B08J7Z8TN6/

    Speaker Options:
    - Micca MB42X for $90
    https://www.amazon.com/Micca-MB42X-Bookshelf-Speakers-Tweeter/dp/B00E7H8GG2/
    - Monoprice Audition B5 Bookshelf for $70 each

    - NEUMI BS5 Passive Bookshelf Speakers for $110
    https://www.amazon.com/BS5-Passive-Bookshelf-Speakers-Tweeter/dp/B07YZDS9LF

If you could increase your total budget to $300-$350 it would be easier to recommend great speakers.
Monoprice also has many great-- for the price!!-- subwoofer options starting at $90.

3080ti - Can be had for about $550 now used.
    64gb of ddr5 - $160
    2tb of storage - $150
    1000w psu - roughly $130
    Kraken x73 - $280
    Phanteks case - $100

    I got $2195
Considering it's used and a package deal, not individual components. I think offering between $1500 to $1600 seems fair like blaze said.

You could significantly expand your business if you get into active directory, it's the bread and butter of most businesses. But that's beyond the scope of a pc repair shop and more in line with an IT support company or managed service provider.

It can't hurt to set up a small domain in your shop and poke around. I say go for it.
