What should i buy

hello users, 

i am currently building my pc, and i wanted to ask should i buy the 7800xt or the 3080? also what brand?

idk if its important but i have a i5 12400f cpu.

12gb model, I play games like fh5 Fortnite, MSFS, ark etc

I personally find Nvidia cards to be significantly more stable, especially if you're playing older titles. So. That's what I'd go with.

I'd go with a 7800xt because you're going to get the 16gb of vram and a warranty. 

FSR is getting good.

 

Will you be streaming or doing anything that requires cuda?

what tasks require cuda ?

also i occasionally stream, nothing serious 🤣

Certain productivity software. Like some AI image generators that run locally can utilize it. If you don't know then you probably won't ever use it. 


Both have good video encoders for steaming.

I say go for the 7800xt.

Used cards are always a good option (and less ewaste 🙂 )

Depends. Some brands don't handle warranties and RMA well. Sapphire has a good reputation.

Asrocks also fine with that. I think they both have similar failure rates

i have an nzxt h5 flow and im in the uk.

i already have a decently big gpu, gigabyte 2070 8g
