This is just hilarious: The German federal network agency calls an internet connection with 56 KBit/s "functional".
The background here is that ISDN connections will be switched off in the process of migrating the IP system (towards VDSL). As a result many people will have no proper internet connection because the infrastructure just isn't there. This primarily affects people in the rural areas of Germany.
They now issued a statement that 56 KBit/s are a functional internet connection. But it gets even better: Telekom doesn't have to provide service at all. There is no legal framework that forces them to replace people's internet connection or offer an alternative. So I guess you're lucky if you get 56 KBit/s. For comparison: just loading the complains form of the federal network agency would take about 9 minutes on a connection like that.

I'm not going to start arguing whether or not they care, rather the fact that the citizens support them is enough to say whether they are doing a good enough job or not. There over a 1.3 billion people in that country. If the majority of the populous didn't like their own government then the ruling party would've collapsed by now.

I've heard the name mentioned, but I've never seen a single one of his videos and wouldn't recognise him if you shoved a picture in front me with his name written on it. The same applies to all of these so called 'influencers' whose names you keep hearing thrown around.  I'm not interested in the shallow, vapid, ravings of the self obsessed and those that are... I feel sorry for.

Sad to say but the level of education in China is far inferior to more developed country. I know you and a lot of users on this forum won’t get the reasoning and the ideology of the Chinese populous backing this law, but that’s what is needed over there.
 
As for your overreach opinion, I personally agree with you since I had the liberty of enjoying the freedom of doing whatever I wish in the west. However, it’s a different world they live over there.

They seem sort of useless to me in fact they seem worse than useless on account of one striking a child. Surely the police department can find better uses for 70,000 dollars a year. If you want to remind people to keep the park clean just put up signs or something. Heck make them glowing RGB neon disco signs with pyrotechnics going off and they will still be cheaper.

This is reasonable on blizzards end, no issue with the ban. It’s fine to support a movement but to do it on someone else’s platform and drag the company into the hot mess is just asking for trouble. Dude should’ve thought better
