Yeah, I know. I have a simple laptop that I'm working with.
But it's not enough. I have 3000 pictures to work on, and more to come.
Photoshop crashes after I upload more than 50 of them on 8gb ram.
I'm building www.crystals.eu site, as i was physics student with obsession of minerals. And I'm photographer, so I used on working with 4k+ monitor.

And basically all life now is in pc, so new 5600x with 6800xt is a dream to come. It's just I'm afraid to physically break parts or monitor in this environment. If all works out, will probably build a Van with the same pc setup. So all advices are good

Yes and no, by default, it is very CPU heavy as most of the rendering is done directly on the CPU. However, with the proper configuration you can switch the video to render to the GPU. (NVenc)

CPU will be great for you're needs @Chiranjeet Bhattacharya
And don't bother upgrading the CPU, it's still plenty powerful, and should last you many years still.

NTDaws reacted to Coolmaster in Motherboard not sharing RAM for GPU?
The GPU prioritizes it's own memory over the system memory. It will only use the system memory when it is completely out of VRAM. Using system memory is bad for gaming performance, the latency is much higher, and it is in general slower.

NTDaws reacted to Mark Kaine in Can we have an option to use the previous theme please?
There are a lot of things that will be easy to get used to, some things like the super tiny font (on my phone at least) not so much.
The thing is though, why this change, where are the improvements? There also wasn't a real explanation why these changes were deemed necessary afaik... That would have surely helped to accept the changes I think.
I also think there were probably some under the hood changes as well but things like mobile notifications and editing in quotes on mobile still don't work (I suppose)

As for the notification thing I don't know if it can even be fixed, it does work on discord for example - it might just be an android 10 thing tho.

But yeah, the question is why, the forum was at least visually almost perfect, the new spacing and alignments, and all the different gray shades don't really improve it, they just made it incoherent, in my humble opinion.

    Never change a winning team.

If there was a legacy theme, exactly how the old layout and color scheme was I'd switch back immediately and never think about it again. 🤷🏼

NTDaws got a reaction from Aldamien in My first time with ARGB fans (motherboard+case compatibility)
Hey I recommend going with this board instead, non of those supports support ARGB, and you need to spend maybe an extra $20 to get it. If you want a good bang for your buck board. I recommend this https://www.amazon.com/ASRock-B450M-Promontory-CrossFireX-Motherboard/dp/B07MV9BMNY/ref=sr_1_1?dchild=1&keywords=ASRock+B450M+Steel+Legend&qid=1604037875&sr=8-1

The cool thing about ARGB is that you can daisy chain the fans. Also I use the Cooler Master SickleFlow ARGB Fans, they will be perfect for your build. You may need a fan hub in order to plug in all yours fans.

NTDaws got a reaction from Mark Kaine in Last BIOS Time 16.1 seconds?!
This is normal. The firmware takes its time to initialize your hardware before everything boots up. If your bios time goes over 25-30 seconds, then you have an actual issue. The bios time is from the time you turn on your computer to the bios boot screen. If this is an old installation of windows, overtime windows starts to clutter up and usually needs a defrag, or a fresh install of windows. Otherwise you're fine.

no and no. most people are fine with 650-750w psu with the 3090. 3090+10900k around= 650-700w. 850w is plenty.

but that is not high quality psu. get better 850w psu.

Edit: aaround 650-750w when overcloked the cpu and gpu. -100w without any oc.

NTDaws got a reaction from Ataxion in MSI 3090 Ventus OC
Yes you will, while 850 watt seems like enough. The RTX 3090 has power spikes quite often, and will trigger your overcurrent protection on you're graphics card. I recommend upgrading to a 1000 watt power supply. Linus has explained this in a couple of his videos, where the PSU would trip the Overcurrent and turn off the whole system and reboot.

There has been some internal discussion whether subforums could use bit of shake-up to better group topics with similar content. Which means there won't be anything new, but just new names for couple.
