SirDucksallot got a reaction from TonyTheNain in Is it safe to share debit card with Steam Support?
If its the legit Steam SUpport asking you for a CD key, then thats normal,if you search on their official page they say its one of the ways to verify that you are indeed teh owner of the account. If they asked you abouyt debit.credit card numbers,DONT GIVE ANYTHING.Steam has made it clear they wont ever ask for any credit/debit card credentials.

If you got it from Steam, all of the steam games come with their program runtimes they need in order to function properly(i.e.:DirecX,C++ Software Redistributable, older games like Fallout 3 have Games For Windows Live etc.) and steam(uppon first launch) will check if they are installed and install them if they are not.If it didnt do that, try verifying your game's files but going into your library, right clicking the game and choosing ''verify game integrity''.If the game was ot acquired via steam, reinstall it or try finding that file online.

In the recent update of Chrome, version 49,Google desided that it was a good idea to enable scroll smoothing for EVERY user, despite that feuture beeing unsmooth for mouse users, and only benefitting touchpad users. So,if your page scrolling seems a bit too unpleasent, dont worry, just go to chrome://flags and find #disable-scroll-smoothing.

SirDucksallot got a reaction from Neroglance in Overclock questions
Coming from a guy that owns an overclocked 4350,and the upgraded version of yor MOBO,I can safely say that overclocking, while it can work as high as like,3%,will damage your mobo and will crash often. This is due to the fact that A)Your motherboard doesnt have heatsinks on the VRMs and the mosfets to keep them inline so can have stable overclocks and B)I think your MOBO has a 4+1 phase plan which is definataly not enough for overclocking(you need a 4+2 atleast.)

both CPU and GPU contribute to performance
with that CPU you will get a lot worse performance than you could have

If you would take a look at my browser history, you would see pretty much 3 pages full of the benchmark googling,Ive already looked up scores on this forum,TechPowerUp,YouTube and I want to compare them to see how diferent hardware affects these benchmarks.

260x will be slightly better than the 750, but the 750 will have similar power efficiently to the 750ti.  A 750ti shouldn't be too hard to find and it only cost slightly more than the 750.

SirDucksallot got a reaction from don_svetlio in Do the Gtx 960 keep being a good Gpu to play most of the games in 1080P 60Hz?
For god's sake, stop fighting!First of,either you want to believe it or not,380 is better than the 960,theoretically,in most games. There will be some games where the 960will get some additional headroom just because of the optimisation, say for example a PhysX game. Now,CUDA vs S.P is something entirely diferent. As Don showed you,AMD's counterparts are better in some programms due to optimisation and coding. You can compare CUDAS and S.Ps directly to one another.

Well, from what I can see,and taking into consideration the actions you have taken to try to fix this issue,is that the GPU is faulty.I would recomend contacting Gainward and asking for a RMA but, seeing that you have this card for some years I dont think your warranty still covers this.Time for a new card!

Actually seeing as you got a pretty nice APU,and pretty good RAM,I would say gaming on that 7850K is better than the GT 740.

Buy a $1 game and test it out if you want. If you use Paypal they can only take your money if you let them. Don't use a Credit Card or anything so they can't straight up steal your info.

750ti. Low temps, good OCing ability, cheap. I used one up until a few days ago (switched to the R9 390) and I'm super happy. I used the MSI version and switched to the R9 390 MSI version.

The CPU side of the A10 is on-par or worse than the X4-860K,the APU will help on hardware accelerated programs and on gaming but not at anything else.

Pretty much this. But if you don't want to overclock at all, you should change the CPU.
I run 8350 @4,5ghz with R9 290X (overclocked pretty heavily) and in all new games there's no bottleneck, in older games it might be, but in newer ones it's fine.
The bottom line is, if you can afford the 980, get it and start gathering money for a new mobo+CPU and buy them when next generation of CPUs comes out later this year
The bottleneck might be slight, but nothing too terrible. You'll lose a couple of frames per second. Maybe.

The program doesnt use OpenCL for CPU benchmarking. As AIDA64 states when the CPU benchmarks start its that the CPU benchmark is for reference only. But then again as I see the guy above me has the same thing,CPU gets more points in some places.
