GTX 950 Bottleneck?

gottagosanchez
Go to solution Solved by PlayStation 2,

I'd say it would be about on par with something like an underclocked FX-4300, so it would bottleneck, just not horribly or even in a significant way.

Hello, I recently bought a GTX 950 SC edition. I also have an AMD Athlon II X4 630 Quad Core @ 2.8 ghz. Will i experience any bottlenecks at 1600*900?

I think you will experience some bottlenecks because of the cpu

yes

both CPU and GPU contribute to performance

with that CPU you will get a lot worse performance than you could have

Yes, I had an Athlon 7750 Black Edition with a 750 Ti back then, huge bottleneck. Not sure how much faster your Athlon is but mine was super slow.

To be fair though, the 7750 is a dual-core, this is a quad-core

tbh most games don't utilize a quad-core, so the difference would be very little.

erhm, all games from 2013 and forth use quad-cores, what are you on about?

Also, with the 4 cores, he has a smaller bottleneck, than with 2 cores.
